No. All this software does is create a custom ColorSync profile of your monitor based on the actual measurements. Sometimes monitor vendors supply profiles for their screen, but they are not specific to your particular screen.
In that respect, there is no difference between different softwares, vendors or hardware -- only the quality of the profile may differ, of course.
