i dont understand why you bought a new pc with new video card. isnt that much more expensive then nieuw pc software? (even if you would have to buy the software(this comment may be ignored:p))

Hi,

I read the Wikipedia page on Cod4 system requirements for PC. As I see, the newest 2,4 GHz iMac can run Cod4 with Bootcamp very well, right? Because this iMac meets the recommended system requirements.

I am not sure what "recommended" means? Does it mean that I can play the game with maximum graphic settings?

Wine 1.0 will release in a few days. We could also install Ubuntu Linux on Bootcamp instead of Windows, then run Cod4 or any other Wine-compatible Windows apps. Just read reviews about how specific programs perform on Wine.

Aspyr website is now saying Q3 for COD4.

They usually do a good job on the whole porting thing I have this already for PC which I run on my MBP in bootcamp XP and it is amazing I only hope that the mac version is as good however I hate the fact they charge twice as much for the mac versions which often take so long to come out that the pc version is already in the 2 for $20 pile in the game store!

I just made the decision. I started to REALLY seriously think about it last night... and this afternoon i decided - Aspyr lost me on this game.

Time to start comparing prices on the PC version... and then place an order.

edit: Just wanted to add one more thing. One reason I was willing to wait in the first place was because I was expecting the mac version to be released at the beginning of the summer... but the way things are going, it probably won't be released until the end of the summer, when school is starting again... and that means many of us will have a lot less free time.
