Its good.

Also wanted to note that asking how bad makes the question biased and could result in people answering in a biased way ;)

Thanks for the response. I guess it just seems not as good to me as what I got on my 6. I kind of expect 8-10 hours of "usage." That's why I framed the question that way. :)

Do you really think it's good?

Absolutely, I know a large number of people aren't getting battery life like that. I get about 4 and a half hours on my 6.

Ouch, only 4 1/2? I can't even remember when I've had less than 8 hours usage on a single charge on my 6.

I'm like 95% always on wifi. And my brightness is just about always on lowest. I don't have any "battery" saving settings on or have I ever used Low Power Mode either.

It's subjective and always difficult to answer. I've had days where my usage is really bad but it was due to running maps on and off and taking videos. But anyone that wasn't there would have thought my battery life was abysmal

Yeah, my battery is getting old I guess. And I'm on cellular almost all day.

Apple considers 'normal' battery usage as anything about 5 hours consistently day to day. So technically, you battery would be considered in operating spec according to Apple (if you get that result daily). There are so many variables that effect battery life. I'm able to get about 8 hours out of my 6s, got about 7 hours with my 6, but I'm willing to bet that our usage style and settings are probably very different.

Based on your current usage and remaining battery percentage left, you will get about 6 hours and 45 minutes of usage and 14 hours and 45 minutes of stand by. Your battery is even better than 'normal operating spec'.

You can also check your health of your device. If you are using a Mac, you can Download Coconut Battery, plug in your iOS device and it shows the health. On iOS there are two apps. Battery Doc (Not battery Doctor), and Coconut Battery. Both of these are paid apps, but they give you a great idea of whats going on with your battery. Coconut battery is much more useful, showing your current drainage rate, charge rate, battery temp and so on. If you have a Mac, the Mac Coconut Battery app does all of this too, and its free.

Hmm.. I can't find it. I wonder if it was pulled? I can download it from my purchases, but when I right click the app and select 'Show in iTunes Store' it doesn't find anything. It doesn't say this is no longer available, it just doesn't show up. That really sucks, its a very useful app. I use it daily.

Here is the link for the Mac version, which offers iOS features: http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/#faq

Here is Battery Doc: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battery-doc-professional-battery/id578400895?mt=8

This gives health information and cycle count. Doesn't give discharge/charge rates or temperature.

I usually get a day or two out of my phone on normal usage, but usually the times when I use my phone most are morning and night. So for me that is not the best battery life

The better question is how does your battery life serve your needs. Are you needing to charge it too much?

Looks bad, take out the "time" button, does anything appear?

Looks like the problem is from poor AT&T coverage, or it's just a defective battery.

Do you have a Mac, OP?

How does it look bad? OP is getting almost 7 hours of usage and almost 15 hours of Stand-by. I don't know how that is considered bad. Its definitely above average.

5 hours.

That's too little, my 6 lasts longer.

Again, the OP is getting almost 7 hours of usage and 15 hours of standby. The OP has 5:42 and 12:24 with 15% remaining. If you do the math, that translates to 6:40 usage and 14:35 stand by once the battery reaches 0. Anything above 5 hours is considered 'normal', not bad.

Its also irrelevant if your 6 lasts longer. Everyones phone will have a different battery, not only because of hardware but because of user settings and user usage. That is why Apple considers anything above 5 hours as 'normal'. Its easier to give a generic baseline, that to estimate everyone's individual usage.

The battery in the 6s is smaller than 6 so it stands to reason why your not seeing it last any longer.

I really appreciate everyone's feedback. More opinions and input is better. The Apple Store said my battery is at 98% capacity. So that's good. I'm just more concerned with below average software battery burn.

We recently moved to a new home, and I believe poor cell coverage may also be contributing to the battery life.

Oh, okay.

Then, it's okay.

7 hours + standby is considered good…
