Nice! I heard someone just purchased a sealed iPod Classic 6th generation 80GB silver for like $1000; is that true?

Come on guys... Surely you have some photos to share no matter how big/small the collection...I'll try uploading another picture later today.

Well here's my little addition.
Only downside is that the seal is peeling. Need to find a way to stick it down...

I'm thinking of rearrange my collection. I have some more iPods and accessories that need space. And where to put all my posters? I was thinking of thin shelves like the ones to the left, and some thin LED down lights under each shelf?

How do you all display your collections?

This is how it looks today:

I've got quite a bit of room on my shelves. If you need to create some space, you can gladly fill mine! I'll even pay for the postage :D

But seriously, WOW! Great collection. Take some up close though.

Got some accessories today.
Was rushed so couldn't take such a clear photo.

Anyway, here it is.
Red iPod Nano 1st Gen armband.
1st Gen Nano dock.
iPod Mini lanyard.
Apple iPod leather case.
Apple universal dock connectors.

All are original apple products and all are brand new in their closed packaging.

Still missing a few iPods from my collection, so don't ask me why I bought them!

Aaaaah...nice! You found a red one! I have been looking for that one ;) I have the other four colors, pink, white, blue and green.

An update on my "early generations" boxes. I don't know how to display them properly...maybe I should just leave it for now? Anyway from left to right, bottom to top:

  • 1st generation 5 Gig iPod
  • 1.5 generation Alanis Morisette 5 Gig iPod
  • 2nd generation 10 Gig Windows iPod
  • 2nd generation 10 Gig Mac iPod
  • Third generation Sealed 20 Gig iPod
  • Third generation 20 Gig iPod
  • 4th generation 40 Gig iPod
  • 4th generation U2 SE 20 Gig iPod
  • 4th generation Monochrome Screen 20 Gig iPod
  • 4th generation Color Screen (Photo) 20 Gig iPod
  • 4th generation U2 SE Color Screen 20 Gig iPod

I was also thinking of doing some proper unboxing videos and post to youtube. I find most existing videos not completely true to what was really in the boxes. Would this be interesting? Or is it just me again?

Would be very interesting. Just watched a "retro-unboxing" video of the iPod photo. The guy made 5 errors during the first minute... There were 2 generations of iPod photos and they did not share the exactly same hardware than the 4th gen iPods (except the display). I'm still interested in things such as what audio chip was used (Cirrus, Wolfson?). Information makes a good unboxing. Information nobody remembers anymore makes a good retro-unboxing I guess. I always liked some of his real unboxings.
