I'm not a hard-core collector, but I keep kicking myself that I lost track of *one*, tiny piece that makes my 3rd-Gen iPod incomplete--the little white dock connector port cover. If anybody has one that they're willing to sell, please contact me!

How do you lose that piece?! lol its screwed to the metal plate :p

Not quite... The third gen iPod was the first iPod with the 30-pin connector. Apple supplied two small white plastic cover pieces when purchased. I have some extras...

Please check your PM's--I'd really like to buy, if you're selling! I don't have much great to swap, but I'll try, if that's what you prefer.

Ahhh, been there my self too many times. Extremely frustrating!

The most bad thing is that iPod 1G prototype was in one of them... Another collector from US was waiting for it for more than a year, and he bought Madonna's iPod for me just to get it... Now I've lost the prototype and have to return money for Madonna's iPod - insurance for the prototype was manually limited to just 500€ by DHL... Only bad news :(

A tragedy for sure!! For both of you!

I lost a mint and unused 1:st gen with box and all accessories. It arrived to customs in Sweden and nothing happened. I called several times, emailed them and begged them to send it to me. After a couple of weeks they decided to send it...back to the US. I never got the iPod or my money back. And another time I lost....no its just to depressing... :(

Hi guys,

Some guy was clearing his house over the weekend and found two brand new factory sealed C10 condition boxed 4th Generation U2 Special Edition iPods. He just sold both of them to me for $440. He got them as gifts 10 years ago and kept them in storage ever since only to find them as he was moving out of his place.

Any idea how much they are realistically worth on eBay? I know one of them sold for like $90k but was that a hoax?

440$... My God, I'd buy one of two for this price...
Regarding prices in general - they cost as much as somebody is willing to pay...

Yeah it's still the old school grayscale display and click wheel. super awesome

The model part numbers on the box are M9787FE/A, serial numbers JQ446HLNS2X and JQ446HVHS2X

Is that for an asian version? Cuz I'm based in Singapore so I presume the guy must have gotten them from someone in Singapore

I ran the serial numbers through Appleserialnumberinfo.com, it showed that the iPods were built in the 46th week of year 2004, and were units 1858 & 2159 to be built that week, and also had a manufacturing part number of M9787LL/A

I might keep one and sell one on eBay. How much do you think it'll fetch? I've seen like a UK version go for like 2500 pounds recently on Dec 6th

Or i might just keep them both till U2 disbands or Bono passes away or something, haha

Hey guys what do u think about that Coca Cola ipod shuffle 2nd generation? I added some photos!
Seems that it is not a special edition right from Apple but customized from Coca Cola. Is it worth collecting or not? Anyone knows some facts?

Hi,

I have a little question : for a blog, i want to try the first Windows software for iPod.

I have an iPod 5 GB, formatted for Windows, but i can't find the software. I have only found MusicMatch "classic" (7.1 or 7.5) without the iPod plugin, and my iPod is not recognized.

I search an ISO from the original iPod Windows software.

Anyone can help me here ?

Hello fellow collector's

i am back after taking half a year from purchasing ipods.

So what have i missed apart from the Ipod classic's farewell:apple:.

I have a question.I have the ipod touch 5th gen Product red sealed which is the one with the IOS6 sticker.Should i buy the one with the IOS7 sticker with the red background?

Is there a IOS8 sticker ipod touch 5th gen?

Would any collector here have a iPod 3rd Gen classic box? i purchased an iPod off eBay in flawless condition without a box :( it needs a home. If anyone has one that they don't need anymore id be willing to purchase the box from you!

If it's a 1st gen iPod (moving wheel) then it's not compatible with Windows. I remember a friend of mine getting one and it only worked on his Mac. I had to wait until the 2nd gen came out to get mine as I didn't have a Mac at the time - but then I got a 20GB just to annoy him!

Impressive collection iChernov! I most admire the special edition classics and the 4GB special red iPod but what happens to your third Harry Potter iPod Did u sell it?
I want to see the other parts of your collection! When did you started collecting? I just started end of December 2014...

So, did a couple of photos of some parts of my collection :)
