well someone here pays attention..

lets stop pretending and ignoring threads just because your iphones "works flawlesly" then why are you here??

there was been several posts regarding this issue. camera app lag. Have never used ios 9 but from the searched ive done it all started then.

there is an extremely annoying lag when you open up the camera app. You have to wait from 10 to 20 or more secs to be able to take a picture... and for those who think "wait take a picture and move on with life" really? then whenever I want to take a pictures of my kids doing something spontaneous I should run home and get me camera out and attach lenses and what not... because the moment will wait there for me???

there is another addition issue with the iphone 7 plus app also.

it used to be plain and simple.. none of that bs live photos and what not. click slide and take picture.. sharp and fast. Now its just like im using an android device.
you seem extremely angry and toxic.
Downgrade to iOS6 and all solved. next

none of that bs live photos
Turn Live Photos off by pressing the circles icon top centre and thats one issue sorted for you. Also if you want spontaneous shots of the kids then live photos probably work pretty well to grab what they are doing anyway but if it does bother you the fix is there to turn it off with one simple press.

are you not aware of all the issues with ios10? just look at the forum!!
The number of threads/posts in any forum are not representative for ANY issue. Millions of iDevice users don't post anything because they simply have no issues. It's not like they come here and post: "Everything is fine that's why I came here.".

Perhaps if you actually mentioned any of these issues - or even the word "lag" - in your original post, people would have known what the hell you were talking about.

He doesnt have any, he is reposting others. Carefully-worded OP just trolling.

Sorry, YOU have never had any issues but you opened this thread??? Are you wasting everyone's time just posting issues other people have had???

All I'm saying is that IF they were truly a fundamental flaw in the iOS10 Camera app then the internet would be on fire with it, its a feature most users use a lot of the time. A tiny number of reports here does not to me imply there is that widespread problem (and ONLY 35 documented incidents have caused Samsung's woes with the Note 7). My experience (and yours it seems???) is of zero camera app issues across iOS10/9/8/7 and iPhone 3GS/4S/5S/6 and multiple devices across the family. Different experiences lead to different views which is why I suggested getting the devices looked at. Your (alleged) report of 10-20 SECONDs to open the App is quite outrageous performance if true and I'm sure Apple would want to look at those devices - I wouldn't expect a single iPhone user to put up with that for a minute.

Why not post a video of the 10-20sec delay?

Did you happen to read where I state that we have 5 iphones with the same issues?

2 iphones 7, 2 iphones 5s and one 1 iphone 6.

the older iphones started to have the lag/frozen camera shutter right after the ios10 upgrade.

the 2 iphones 7 had the issues right out of the box with ios10 ofcourse.

i personally know 3 friends with the same issues

1 iphone 7 and 2 iphones 6s in ios10

like i said ive owned iphones since the very first one and ive never had any issues whatsover.

there are many other threads regarding this issues also.. here and in other forums... even in the apple discussions

Don't restore your iPhone from a backup. That causes the most trouble.

A friend of mine has an iPhone 7 Plus that she restored from her 6 backup and camera takes forever to open. However, my 7 Plus (same model) opens instantly.

that is a given... restore from back up has caused countless issues with iphones.

so no... no restore from back ever... and no restore from back up and all the phones that I am personally talking about.

Yes -before you then posted you hadn't had any issues. If you have 5 devices with the 10-20sec camera app delay then take them in for service, there is some common factor - but the issue doesn't seem very common amongst the millions sold - hence it might be a factor common to you/your apps/who knows.

Post a video of the delay. Maybe it will provide a clue.
