The contact form for these scumbags "Heavy Plumb Madrid Espana" doesn't even work.
It's a shell company - LateNightSoft "sold it off" so they can screw people selling them Photon.
Good grief, top of the page a menu item is "PRIVACY POLCICY FOR KIDS APPS". No it's written as I just copied. Clicking on it brings up a page with correct spelling. I considered this app some years ago but never got it and I am glad.

Also, I’ve noticed that now the telephoto selection actually uses my 5x (120 mm) telephoto lens. However, the app still says 2x (52 mm) on the screen.
I was wrong. 2x Telephoto selection in Camera+ is actually 2x. My 5x telephoto lens is not recognized.

Haha they fixed the heading but the app still has lots of issues I see. Too bad but then I think the default app is improved anyway.

  • App updated to 24.1.1 on 2/28/2024. Brifly I didn’t have Pro status but that resolved later in the day. The app still doesn’t work properly if no internet unless I use workaround.
  • The lens switcher button allows me to choose between ultra-wide (0.5x), wide (1x) and telephoto (2x) cameras. However, the telephoto camera on my iPhone 15 Pro Max is a 5x lens, not a 2x. The magnification label should reflect the actual magnification.
  • In Auto mode, when I switch from 1x to "2x" the image doubles in magnification. On the other hand, when I switch from 1x to "2x" in Manual mode, the image is magnified by a factor of 5. Very strange, considering that there is only one telephoto camera on my iPhone! I need to be able to use my 5x telephoto camera in Auto mode.

I put my Camera+ pics into iCloud. I don't know if Photos lets you maintain two separate sets but it would be nice.
How do you access the camera+ photos on iCloud? I have my light box photos synced to iCloud and have not been able to find where they are going. It doesn’t show up on iCloud.com for me.

It's not automatic. I created a folder on my iCloud drive and then "Share" the files using "Save to Files" option.

Can you do that all on iCloud.com or do you have to use the app to do that?
Well I created the folder with the Files app on my phone and then selected them and moved them from within the Camera+ app. Then manually deleted the original. It's clunky but it works. Most of my pics just go to Photos.

Version 24.2.0 just released. “Bug fixes" still don’t fix these issues.

Version 24.3.0 released today, April 23. Still no fix for internet and telephoto issues. Maybe the new owner doesn’t have anyone who can fix these problems.

I think it's going to be just tweaks for now. I just hope that they don't mess up what I already have. I'm an OG purchaser so I just want it to work (mostly).

I have an iPhone 14 Pro so I don't have the latest cameras. It may be a while before they address the telephoto bug. If at all.
Although you don’t have the iPhone 15, your 14 has a 3x telephoto. However, you can’t access that unless you have the Pro version of Camera+ so you can use manual mode.

Ah. I bought the full version back when it was with the original company. I'd prolly drop it if I had to pay by subscription. It's a good app, but not that good.

From what I've seen, it's just some interface tweaks. It certainly looks like they're not doing much with it at all, except taking subscription fees.

Camera+ won't start on my iPhone 13 Pro, and in trying to get support I found the sale of the app and am incredibly livid. Both at LateNiteSoft for a silent sale to a data aggregator and dropping all support, and at Apple for not having a system in place to make customers aware of when an app they have purchased changes hands.

Anyway, I had a bunch of pictures in the Light Box I wanted but couldn't get to because the app won't start. For unrelated reasons today I plugged my iPhone into my Mac and realized that the "Files" tab for the phone has a folder for Camera+. In that folder should reside all the files for the images that were saved to the Light Box. You can drag and drop them somewhere else from there without using the Camera+ app at all.

So if you want to get your photos out without putting them in Photos:
  1. Plug your iPhone into your Mac (with a wire, like a heathen)
  2. In the Finder sidebar, click on your phone
  3. Click the "Files" tab
  4. Open the disclosure triangle next to "Camera+"
  5. Click on the top image file
  6. Scroll to the last image file, hold the shift key, and click on the last image file
  7. Drag the files to the local folder of your choice (Note that it may take a few seconds for Finder to deal with all the files if there are a lot, so have patience with the drag operation)
  8. (Optional) Delete Camera+
Hope this helps.

Camera+ hasn’t been updated since version 24.3.3 on September 11, 2024. Since iOS 18 was released on September 16, 2024, and iPhone 16 became available on September 20, 2024, the app obviously doesn’t incorporate features like Camera Control or Lock Screen and Control Center buttons.

I was an original purchaser and I was first upset that they went subscription (OPs got grandfathered in) and now that have seem to be abandoning the app. I guess as long as the money keeps rolling in... I have a 16 Pro and I've gone back to the Apple app unless I need a special feature.
