Actually pretty close to it these days with 1TB card stuck in it and an external monitor almost anywhere in a business. Coupled with bluetooth and wireless it is the smallest most flexible laptop that I have. You just need a monitor to plug it into. In a business environment those are literally all over the place. So maybe you say its comparable to the mini instead. A quick look at the cheapest chromebook that I can find in the sub $USD300 range support dual monitors. The fact that the M1 does not support dual monitors was a Apple design decision.

The M1 supports dual monitors. But that's all.

Yet another who wants to buy the consumer-level base model computer and expect it to have pro-level features. So typical for people complaining about price.

It's hardly a pro-level feature.

MacBook Air since 2018 supports dual external monitors at 4K60. The M1 is an aberration.

Even Chromebooks support dual if not triple external monitors.
