Yeah, Apple has definitely joined this club now. They’re no rationalists anymore.

In my experience people who want to use these devices as gadgets don’t get any work done. I see it at work or when I hire someone. If you want to perform, you want a good setting that’s rational and then you want to go grind on your work and not be a princess fiddling with some irrelevant settings trying to find some irrational comfort. That’s just procrastination, these people are poor and get nothing done and prefer to play with their devices as if they’re toys.

The problem is Americans. It depends on them, they’re the biggest market share and they’d have to protest too. But they don’t. The Americans these days don’t know what democracy is and how to integrate into it. They just accept things, they’re conformist couch potatoes. We need to get Americans protesting about iPadOS 26 and iOS 26.

you're just being biased for reasons that are beyond my comprehension. Apple is a company, you're not in a romantic relationship with it or anything like that.
Respectfully, if you’re just going to resort to insults every time someone says an opinion that you happen to not agree with, you aren’t going to get far.
If you want people to see your point of view, maybe don’t start by calling them “ conformist couch potatoes” who are “poor” and “princesses” and if they happen to like something you don’t, it means that they think that they are in a “romantic relationship” with a company. It’s reductive, and it’s just making you look more and more like a troll who is more interested in stirring up attention then actually having a discussion about the pros and cons of the new operating systems.

You must be a hardcore Apple fan 😂 That's a problem of your very personal and individual mind.I don't know what you're working or what your hobbies are, but it's neither business nor technology
And there you go again with the personal attacks and insults when a person just so happens to disagree with your opinion. Step back. Remember that there are other human beings on the screens you are responding to, actual people with their own lives and troubles and loved ones and opinions. It really puts things into perspective. At the end of the day, not liking how a Settings menu is laid out is the most first world problem of first world problems, and certainly should never lead to you questioning someone’s mental capacity and/or occupation qualifications.
Also…

I see it at work or when I hire someone. That’s just procrastination, these people are poor and get nothing done and prefer to play with their devices as if they’re toys.
If you are truly responsible for hiring people, I feel bad for every one of them seeing as this is how you choose to talk about them when you have anonymity on an Internet forum. That’s just sad. Check yourself.

Came here after absent mindedly upgrading my iPad mini 5 to iOS 26 trying to resolve a tethering issue.

This iPad was everything i needed, as much as i want a new one, i do not need it

iOS 26.2 has made it sluggish, slow and I’m literally watching the battery life tick down by the minute as I write this.

Here’s hoping it’s just doing some new OS stuff in the background otherwise I’m really frustrated i cannot roll back to iOS 18.
