What program did you use to unlock it, and what firmware did you have. If you tried to unlock it with the wrong program with he wrong firmware. You may have permanently locked your phone. Also, is it the first gen phone, or the 3g?

Don't worry about it, I completely understand. I see no risk in jailbreaking and/or unlocking. Have you tried a Hard Reset and/or Reboot? The next step is a restore which I am 99% sure will fix this. First restore from a backup and if that doesn't work restore again without a backup.

I'd suggest that you restore the phone to firmware 2.2 in iTunes (not 2.2.1 if it's 3G) and then re-unlock it. See if that solves the problem.

Did you use Pwnage/Quickpwn to unlock it? If not, that is the best way to unlock.

thank you guys for the reply.

i have the 3g...and i use to jailbreakit i use "QuickPwn-225-2.zip"

to unlockit i use "apt9.yellowsnow".....i have my baseband is 2.28.

i will tray to restore it to see what happens......after that will that means is have to jailbreak again?

i have a 3g and my baseband is 2.28 i jailbrakeit with "QuickPwn-225-2.zip. and unlock it with apt9.yellowsnow.

Moi is right, when you ever encounter odd bugs like this, the best answer is to restore and re-jailbreak

i'm trying to restore form itunes...but it's giving me the option to update to 2.2.1...and i don't want to do that cuz then i wont to able to unlock.....how can i just restore....i have try everything but it steel giving me the option to update.

what will that do? restore my phone?...cuz try itunes and it wants to restore and update...and i know i cant.

What you will have to do is Option-Restore on Mac or Shift-Restore on PC. This will allow you to select the IPSW that you want to restore with. Choose the 2.2 IPSW (iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw for iPhone 3G and iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw for iPhone 2G) and click Choose. Then your iPhone will restore and be running 2.2 so you can unlock and jailbreak! Then you will have to do the Restore thing again so you can jailbreak!:D

omg this is so embarrassing....it happen again i'm with out making any phonecalls....i'm using quickpawn and i think this is the problems....i don't know how i can get the so famous "custome film for pawnage"....dev team said to use a custom ipsw....and i don't know were i can get that.

Where Can I Get A Custom .ipsw "Moi un Mouton" or who ever

like some of you just read...i'm steel having problems with my phone...i can't not make any phone call......i don't know if posting this is legal or i will get block for it....but i had it....i use quickpwn 225-2.zip and unlock with yellowsnow and it works for a little bet but now i can't make any phone call again......i don't know what alse to do.

can someone give a save one....you know i don't want to f*** it up.

thanks:confused:

This is very strange to me. Are you sure you are getting the right IPSW. For an iPhone 3G, you should be restoring with a file called "iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw" and for an iPhone 2G, "iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H1_Restore.ipsw". This will give have you on the current firmware and be jailbroken as long as Pwnage Tool made the IPSW. For some reason it may have made the wrong one. If you plan on unlocking like you mentioned, you do not want to be on the 2.2.1 firmware because the baseband update, last time I checked, has not been cracked for unlocking by the iPhone Dev Team. For iPhoneOS v2.2, you should be restoring with a file called "iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw", for 3G and "iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw", for 2G. Then you can use Yell0wsn0w to unlock.

hi, i did use that one you posted in my other thread...i use quickpwn 225.2 to jailbrake and apt9.yellowsnow from cydia to unlock...and i notice that jellowsnow is 0.9.8 i don't know if that could be the problem.

oh! wait! i use this one 2.2.0 (3G): iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw
so you mean i shoulded have use this one

2.2.1 (3G): iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw

i have a 3g 2.28.

another thing "pc guru" i don't have internet in my plan....i just added and won't be effective until march for my next bill....i have from tmobile one of dose plan that i pay us i go...no contract and i love it....i don't know why cydia, installer and wi-fi were working.

currently i won't be able to do anything cuz cydia and intaller don't work cuz claro i don't have internet......so i will wait next month to tryit again...jailbreak and unlock.

but please let know with one i shoulded have use the one in red o the one in purple. i use the one in red.

thank you so much i realy appreciate all of your help.

When you have a wifi connection then you have internet, you don't need it on your phone plan. Over wifi you can use Cydia, Safari etc

You should only use 2.2.1 if it is a custom firmware file that has been made with Pwnage tool to retain the old baseband, otherwise you will lock your phone. You are safe staying with 2.2.0.
