Can the PB cause any damage to the hardware?

Pardon my ignorance, but i got quite intimidated by Apple's Terms of Installation. I really want to test it on a few devices, so could anyone clear my doubts?

With the right answers, you could encourage more and more people to try this beta.

Is there any risk?

No. Installing it won't cause any hardware to break in any way. The worst that can happen is some lag in the software, battery drain, some apps might not work, etc but no hardware will be damaged.

I see, so, in said case, it would be easy and safe to restore to 8.4?

That's correct. You can always downgrade to the latest GM in this case 8.4.

That is what swayed me into trying out the public beta 9. I had nothing to lose because 8.4 was draining my battery fast. Just be sure you follow the guide backup your phone first and save the backup file then you can always downgraded back. However 9 is working so good I don't think I'll be downgrading.

absolutely not, in the event u just happen to suffer a defective hardware failure at the very moment of installing or using a beta, thats unrelated to it. apple should be able to help u in that case, apple betas are also certified that they wont "destroy ur device", they do have enough testing internally at apple that basic functionability is expected with them, even with a "bricked" ios device, we have this magical recovery & dfu mode, that allows fixing 99.999999% of problems unless its hardware related.

You were right. I tried and everything went well. It's just that i had that dumb doubt around my head while i read those terms where Apple says "We're out of harms way if you mess up your iPad" "Do it under your responsability"...But now that you mention it, it makes sense. They can't destroy their costumers devices, i think not even their beta testers ones.

Hey guys.....i updated to the ios 9.0 beta public on ipad but it was so weird that i tried to go back to the last stable firmware

First i reset my device to factory settings, then itunes downloaded ios 8.4 and began to downgrade my ipad.

But when it was restoring my device, nothing happened and now its frozen on the connect to itunes screen.

When i try to restore with a new firmware, my itunes return the error 3104 and i can't do anything.

Hope someone have an answer
i don't have the backup

hold power + home button till apple logo appears, BUT KEEP HOLDING IT, till u get the itunes icon + power cable screen, then go to itunes, hold shift + click restore iphone (or ipad), this is for WINDOWS, i dont know the key to hold if ur on a mac, off find my iphone/ipad if it asks u, then select the ios 8.4 restore ipsw

restoring to factory defaults BEFORE reverting does absolutely NOTHING, & make sure u have the ios 8.4 FINAL, ipsw, not any beta, if u need to download it u can go here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

That screen to connect on itunes appears and stay there all the time

Guys, i think the problem might be on the HOST fle of Windows. I have no idea on how to fix that, but i saw some cases on the past. This happens mostly to people with jailbreak. The problem lies with the IPSW file and/or it's verification i think.
