Yes. You must first make sure your device can read that app. My phone reads apps as apks. So make sure the file name has .apk.

You can download any type of file you want from Dropbox or Google Drive. There is no difference between what an Android device can do and what a PC can do. Exactly the same. Of course, just because you can download the file, doesn't mean it can be used. A .exe file won't do you much good on an Android tablet.

Yes....you can install Dropbox on your Android phone and choose what to sync to Dropbox. You can also have every picture you take automatically uploaded to Dropbox for you. You can then install Dropbox on all of you computers PCs and Macs and have cross platform syncing of all of your pictures and files you choose. Dropbox works cross platform.

No need to remember anything. Just dl and open the file. Android just works. ;)

How does it work on ios because I've been trying to offload some music on my iPhone and all I'm allowed to do is stream it through the Dropbox player.

Do you have ifile installed? You can download the music from Dropbox with that.

Ok, when you are playing the song you'll see a star at the bottom, select the star so its solid. You can also swipe the file name to the right when your in the file manager in dropbox to select the star.

Now when your on the main screen you'll see four icons on the bottom, tap the third one shaped like a star. You should then see a list of all the songs you starred. All these songs have been downloaded to your phone and you can play them without a data connection.

If you want to play the songs using another app, just tap the song and once it starts playing you'll see an icon on the bottom right with an arrow pointing down, tap that and you'll be given the option to play the song using another app on your phone. Unfortunately the itunes music player isnt on the list, but if you download a 3rd party music player from the app store that player will be on the list.

Does ifile require jailbreak?

Well I'm jailbroken, so yes.

If you're not, just use the instructions that you quoted.

That isn't a solution for files that aren't documents.

Well it handles pics and vids and a bunch of files. It also have a built in browser that it claims it can download files to the app ( i haven't try this one so I'm not sure if it does).
