I am not upgrading [may happen in 2025 or later] but waiting for the official Apple announcement of changes/upgrades compared to iPhone 14 series and older... Thinking of buying a pre-owned iPhone 12 Pro Max to experience iOS 17 since I am going to stay on iOS 16 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max...
May I ask why? Staying on iOS 16 on your main. Or would you get iP12PM just for trying out the public beta?

I have a belief that the best version is the one that the iPhone was designed with...

Although iOS 9 on iPhone 4S [slow performance/response] may no longer happen, I still see some people [on websites like this] [and YouTube] they are encountering issues and bugs after upgrading to a major version... Like the iPhone 13 series upgraded to iOS 16...

As for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I have read that iOS 17 fully supports A14 Bionic and newer but limited support on A12 Bionic and A13 Bionic...
