GAH!

I was wrong again...

11/03/06 10:37 pm - Package Status - Mississauga, ON

They moved my precious MBP even further away from me :(

Thankfully my Estimated Delivery date hasn't change, they must have a method to their madness :p

Cheers!

Yeah, very bizarre. I was expecting my MBP to go straight from Alaska to Alberta, but instead it went all the way to Memphis, and is now in Mississauga. Yay efficiency.

No movement since Saturday morning, apparently (clearance delay in Mississauga). Or the FedEx tracking hasn't been updated.

just got off with apple, who said that my mbp17 (canada, ordered the night of announcement oct24) now has an estimated ship date of nov9. this is odd though, as the web pane of Order Status still says the same thing it's said since the beginning: "Ships by: Nov 07".

the representative added expedited shipping, as i mentioned that this falls beyond the 10 day bit the store had said when i placed the order... so at least i have that to be happy about.

I'm on campus most of the day and therefore not home to sign for the package when it did arrive. It was the same price as online so I (incorrectly) assumed it would be easier.

Well, you can always pick it up at the depot. If you happen to have FedEX, you can arrange for a time for them to redeliver.

If you know any profs well, maybe you can have stuff delivered to them instead.

It seems they have not improved. I did indeed order from the UVic computer store. At least they gave me the refund no-questions-asked after I said I was cancelling because I was getting the runaround. Perhaps they are used to that reason.

I would have thought they would be ok too, but they are pretty much a nightmare. If the stuff is in stock, they are ok...but otherwise you're better off having it shipped.
