the second point is what concerns me the most. The rumours about 5.4 and 6.7 size are strange. 5.4 is too small and 6.7 is too big. I really hope that’s not the case.

I’m planning on hanging on to my Pro Max for a long time now, but I wasn’t keen on that rumour either. To me it would just be nonsense as it effectively pushes the Pro buyers to either go too small or too large whilst the mainstream model sits in the sweet spot.
I know the too small thing is subjective, but I find even the 5.8” increasingly feeling cluttered and cramped for web browsing.
That's a bit different, as I might be able to justify the upgrade using the larger screen. Still, the X isn't very old. Average upgrade cycles are now longer two years, more like 3-4 years. There's nothing wrong with using a two-year-old iPhone.
2 years is nothing lol. The iPhone X is still amazing. Guess what, i still have the 8 Plus. It's only 9 months old. Yes, i bought this phone last year. Instead of the Xr, or Xs (Max). Too expensive and there is no real reason for that pay premium. I could understand your thought if you had an iPhone 6 or 6s, but th X is totally fine. I want to keep my 8+ for 2 - 3 more years.
