Sorry, but I simply struggle to find the solution...!

On my MacBook Pro M2 (Ventura 13.6.3) I cannot change my login password, the option is greyed out. I am the admin of the computer.

What is it that I am missing in here?

Is your Mac managed by an IT department? Could we see a picture?

Have you tried to turn of that Apple ID setting? Or just log out of your Apple ID.

All I can think of is that those settings have been locked down by someone other than you. You said it’s your private computer. Did you acquire it new?

Let's look next at System Settings > Privacy & Security > Profiles. This one is at the bottom of the list. It should look like mine, but I'm going to guess that you have a profile installed.

If it is your personal Mac, did you tick the box to allow your Apple ID to change your password when setting up your Mac? If you didn’t, that is probably why you can’t.
I think you're right. We can see that he does have that option turned on. OP, try turning this option off, then make your password change, and then turn this option back on (if you really want it). The key is that the AppleID reset option must be turned off for you to change your user password.
