I too am having the issue since installing DP4. If I just restart over and over, it eventually connects.

I had the same problem but didn't want to mess with system files.
I was able to resolve the problem from System Preferences by setting all adapters/services other than the Wi-Fi adapter as Inactive.

Other than Wi-Fi, I have no other adapters/services under Networks.

If you delete "wifi" from your network preferences.
Reboot.
Then add in a new wifi connection with a name other than "wifi" like "wifi2", it will connect to wifi again.
I found this on Apple's Support Communities. Minutes later their communities were temporarily out of service. Hmmm.
iOS 8 on brand new phone doesn't sync with computer and wifi issues with first install of 10.10 Yosemite - can't say I've seen blunders like this with Apple before. Really disappointed.

Fixed

I tried the kext process but failed. Then I just deleted the old Wifi setting and created a new one as below. Perfect and instant. THANKS

Yosemite WIFI / Wlan Problems

A few days ago I got my MacBook Pro updates on the latest OS X 10.10 Yosemitie. Since this update, regular dropouts of my WI-FI (WLAN) happen. The Wi-Fi is interrupted and the Fritz box 6490 (Cable Modem & Router) is forced to restart and reboot.
Parallel are two Iphones, Ipads two and a MacBook 2009 (Mavericks) online at the Fritz box. In this case, without any problems. But if the MacBook Pro connected via WiFi, so get error messages "Connect to Fritz box is not possible". Now, if the WiFi is deactivated in the MacBook Pro and then turn back, so still can not connect. Moreover, suddenly the Fritz box is forced to restart ... These problems occur after the update with Yosemite - before everything was fine. Heres a documentation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX5iQM_qIDo

I'm having wifi issues on Yosemite as well.

The 5GHz band does not work on ASUS router.
The 2.4GHz band does work on ASUS router.

Both 5GHz and 2.4GHz band work fine on Apple Airport Extreme router.

Kext Fix

Nothing would fix my WiFi connection after upgrading to Yosemite. The Kext IO80211family.kext file finally did!!!

A big thank you to superfunkomatic!!!!
