Can't Decide Between 14" and 16"

my activity monitor says I am using 20gb of ram. I am not doing too much. How can that be?

What all do you have open. Can you screen shot your activity monitor and post it here. Keep in mind, unused Ram is wasted Ram. MacOS will load as much into Ram as it thinks you're going to need/use. For instance, if you have 16gb ram on your machine a particular workload may be showing for example 13gb used. Same work load on 8gb might say 6-7gb used. Could have some swap mixed in with the 8gb. OS will try to load as much as it can. You can do a ton of stuff with 8gb on MacOS, just not maybe at the same time if you want things instant, if that makes sense
