For right now, the N7.

I have had SO many crashed on my iPad Air that i view it as a youtube/xfinity player only. ios7 or the hard wear is lacking.

Although I am not a huge fan of the screen size on the n7 so personally I am waiting to see what the n10 or possibly n8? looks like.

I had the iPad 3 and 4. Both were phenomenal. I decided to give the nexus 7 a chance to see if it could be an alternative to the iPad mini Retina.

It wasn't in some key ways, with on the more egregious issues being random reboots and netflix freezing at random times.

Then there is the 7" display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Together the combo is not as pleasant for browsing and reading, and add to that there is a nav bar and status bar eating screen estate and your display is closer to 6.5 inches.

The cameras are also atrocious.

However it's sounds great, feels awesome in the hand, has an awesome display and is deceptively fast given the old tech under the hood. It's also so cheap you don't care about throwing it in a coat pocket or in a bag without 60 dollars in screen covers and cases.

The battery life is also surreal. I watched a whole season of Sons of Anarchy on a single charge and the video quality is excellent. The display is also super bright for a tablet, but the black levels were so so. The sound was very spacious sounding and immersive as well.

As a bedside music player it was better than my iPads too.

It's a close runner up to the iPad Mini retina, but not better to me, but that cheap price is a nice perk.

What I would really like to see is the nexus 7 type device running Windows Phone.

The android netflix app saw a complete rewrite this past month on android. It now has a very modern UI actually very similar to the recent google apps including the slideout drawer. Nothing from the old app is carried over.

I wonder if some of your complaints would be solved by that and the recent 4.4 update.

I wonder if you would like the upcoming nexus 10. It sounds like a winner, I just wish google would release it already.

Seriously from what you posted, I don't think it matters what you get being you have a mix of everything and decided to keep it that way. What kind of combination are you looking for?

Well I'm not at my macbook often. Maybe 1 or 2 days per week, and my iPod touch is shattered. I guess I could just keep my current nexus 7 and maybe get a new iPod?

Go Nexus. After using my riPad mini with it's atrocious screen, I'll be going back to the Nexus (or kindle hdx). Apple has truly changed as a company. I'm not buying overpriced junk from them anymore.
