I updated to iOS 11 beta 2 today from iOS 10.3.2 on an 10.5 iPad Pro. When I go to downgrade to 10.3.2, I get stuck in recovery mode. That is, everything installs fine, the firmware is verified by iTunes, the iPad restarts, the white Apple logo flashes, but then it quickly goes to recovery mode with the lightening cable and iTunes logo.

I was able reinstall iOS 11 beta 2 and boot up. When I went to downgrade again, same recovery mode loop.

Anyone else have this issue? I want to get back to 10.3.2, but can't seem to do so.

Did you try downloading the iOS 10.3.2 iPSW, engage DFU mode and point to the IPSW file to install?
Yes - 6 or 7 times using two different computers under DFU mode. Using the same process, I am able to install iOS 11 beta 2 via ipsw, but unable to repeat the process with the 10.3.2 ipsw.

My iPad boots to a screen with the lightening cable and itunes logo. Tells me it needs to be recovered. I get a prompt in iTunes to restore or update. Choosing update fails and then iTunes tells me it must be restored. Whole process runs for 10 minutes or so until iTunes says "verifying firmware". iPad restarts, white apple logo appears, immediately kicks back into the lightening cable and iTunes logo.

Same thing happens if I use DFU mode and restore.

I'm having the same issue as all of you. Sprint iPhone 7 downgrading from beta 2 to 10.3. Every possible option/combination of troubleshooting brings me to the iTunes screen on my phone. I just got out of a chat w/ apple support and they want me to ship my phone in for repair. This sucks.

Do you have an active Developer account whereby you installed the DB? If not, Apple might say something to you, charge you, or refuse to restore it.

Hopefully, Apple will restore the phone for you and not say anything about you having the beta without being part of the Developer program.

They can wait a few days for the public beta. Install that profile, and then bring it to Apple saying they can’t downgrade from the public beta. Apple won’t say anything to them for that.

This is slightly scary. I was thinking about upgrading my 7Plus because all is well on my Air 2. Wont be doing that anymore. Sorry OP :( But thanks for warning us.

I’m using air watch and the mdm profile is working fine.
My mdm profile blocks the App Store under iOS 11. Unsure why, likely a policy mismatch.

Has anyone successfully downgraded yet?
FYI - went to Apple Store and waited 45 for a Genius Bar appointment. They tried to do a DFU restore - of course it didn't work.

No replacements available. Guess I'll make it work or return it.

Well then. So even their only option is to provide replacements?

I haven't been able to downgrade to 10.3.2 either. I was able to restore back to 11 Beta 2 using iTunes and I can at least use the device now. One thing I did notice that may or may not make a difference is that the Plug Into iTunes screen now has a link to the Apple Support website. Maybe they changed the restore process in Beta 2 and it's still a work in progress? Anyways, hope to get back to 10.3.2 soon.

Would you be able to provide an ipsw for 11?

I am experiencing the same issue, but my reason for downgrading is completely different. I upgraded to Beta 2 from the latest iOS 10, and had a very peculiar bug that prevented me from fully activating my 10.5 inch iPad Pro. As soon as I upgraded, I noticed the new iOS dock appearing on the setup screen. I managed to configure it with little issue the until the Analytics screen , where the dock obscured the Accept button. I was stuck, was unable to complete my setup. I couldn't rotate the screen since it was locked and I couldn't access the control panel. No matter how hard I tried, I was unable to get past the analytics screen.

After an hour or so, I decided to try and downgrade only to face the issue that the op and a few others are experiencing. This is it. I will never again install a beta. Since I live overseas, my only options is to wait a few weeks for a solution from apple, maybe trying DFU using a newer beta OR send my new iPad to Apple uncertain that the situation is going to be solved. Cautionary tale here folks.

I update my 7 to iOS 10 beta from iOS 11 beta and got stuck with the Apple logo. iTunes detected it in recovery mode with the option to update or restore and both failed. I tried using the DFU mode and it worked for me. I also remove Find My iPhone on iCloud.com before restoring.
