Hi, I’m having the same problem where I cannot downgrade from iOS 11 Beta 2 to iOS 10.3.2. I’m using an iPhone 6S+ and I’d like the ipsw file for the iOS 11 Beta 1 please??

Hey, anyone of you know, is it possible to downgrade iOS 10.3.3 b4 to 10.3.2 ?

(Updated) it worked :)! 6S btw

This is a prime example of why non-developers should not try a developer version. No-one seems to learn year by year.
Some non-developers like myself just like to chance things and experiment. I accept the fact I might brick my phone but that's my problem :) Best way of learning is from your mistakes!

I updated to iOS 11 beta 2 today from iOS 10.3.2 on an 10.5 iPad Pro. When I go to downgrade to 10.3.2, I get stuck in recovery mode. That is, everything installs fine, the firmware is verified by iTunes, the iPad restarts, the white Apple logo flashes, but then it quickly goes to recovery mode with the lightening cable and iTunes logo.

I was able reinstall iOS 11 beta 2 and boot up. When I went to downgrade again, same recovery mode loop.

Anyone else have this issue? I want to get back to 10.3.2, but can't seem to do so.
[doublepost=1498700708][/doublepost]Had the same issue. I read that you can only go back to beta 10.3.3 I am currently in the process of trying this. The Ipsw file is taking forever to download.

Yes! I am having the exact same problem.

I couldn’t restore to iOS 10.3.2. My iPhone would boot into recovery mode after iTunes has completed the restore.

Found this useful info:
If you are currently running iOS 11 beta: For devices that currently have iOS 11 beta installed, you must restore 10.3.3 beta. Download the iOS 10.3.3 beta software restore image for your device from the download page.

Ok guys, ive spent all night trying to downgrade my iPhone 7, which is gsm not global, from ios 11 beta 2 to ios 10.3.2. A lot of people do not understand that directly downgrading from the ios 11 beta 2 ipsw to the ios 10.3.2 ipsw will cause a brick on your iphone, to insure this does not happen, follow these steps.

First put your iphone in dfu mode
- leave phone on while connected to computer
- hold power button for 3 seconds
- then hold the volume down button for 10 seconds
- your phone screen should be black and itunes shouldve displayed a message saying that the iphone needs to be restored

congrats step 1 is complete

now to downgrade your ios 11 beta 2 software to ios 11 beta 1

- download this file on your computer (http://miroir1.trackr.fr/miroirs.ph...S_11beta1/iPhone_7_11.0_15A5278f_Restore.ipsw)
- now once its downloaded, go into itunes and on windows hold the shift key while simultaneously clicking on restore. this will allow you to install the beta 1 ipsw.
- select the file
- restore the device.
- then just follow the prompts on screen until you get back to the home screen.

now to downgrade your ios 11 beta 1 software to ios 10.3.2

-follow the same steps to get into dfu mode as instructed above\
- download this file onto your computer (https://api.ipsw.me/v3/iPhone9,3/14F89/url/dl)
-follow the same steps as above selecting the file and restoring the file.

Congrats! You have successfully downgraded your iphone 7 from ios 11 beta 2 to ios 10.3.2 without bricking your phone!

Umm, I already made a post on this thread the exact same fix.. There is no need for this post.

Also it isn't a brick, it just basically wipes your phone. But it still is reversible.

It definitely does brick the device because you can't restore and update, it was has to be in dfu mode and you have to revert it, and any other person wouldn't understand that so it would be considered bricking and if you posted this earlier how come I wasn't able to solve the issue without having to google torrents and other stuff? If you posted it younwoilfve included links to the ipsw files

ok no pun intended.. but this keep happening every year.

first, please don't install beta builds on your regular phone.

second, the itunes icon screen is restore mode.
Third, DFU mode is black screen.

It's easier to look on youtube videos as it will help explain the difference.

Fourth, DFU mode solves the downgrading problems after installing to any new pre release builds.

how to know i have gsm or global iphone 7

how to know i have gsm or global iphone 7
iPhone 7:
iPhone 9,1 = Global
iPhone 9,2 = GSM

iPhone 7+:
iPhone 9,3 = Global
iPhone 9,4 = GSM

To figure out what iPhone X,X you have, plug your iPhone into iTunes, click on the iPhone tab, then click on the serial number, then it will change go iPhone X,X. That is what model your iPhone is.

I had the same problem, Could not downgrade from iOS 11 public beta .
Followed the guide to 10.3.3 beta and the downgraded to 10.3.2 and restored backup.
Lengthy process but worked.
Really am surprised tho that there is this issue. Is this a bug or did apple mean it to keep you on the beta.

DFU mode with iOS 10.3.1 ipsw, 10.3.2 ipsw, and 10.3.3 beta 3 ipsw's all failed. I give up, looks like I will be restoring back to 11.0 beta 2 to have a usable device.
[doublepost=1498782685][/doublepost]how did you restore back to ios 11?

I still feel I have to point out that I don't feel too bad that people who aren't devs are using those publicly offered dev versions from devs who shouldn't be sharing it.. Just because some people can't wait for the public beta or are too cheap to pay the $99 .. Sorry, but I just won't lose any sleep over it. And I know you guys will probably hate for me it.
How much of an issue is it to either pay the $99 or to wait for a public beta.

I CAN CONFIRM: If you are stuck with iOS Beta 2, you must downgrade to iOS Beta 1 (acquire via Torrent file) and THEN downgrade to iOS 10.
Worked for me today! There is hope!

The steps on 9to5mac didn't work and my iPad mini 2 is still stuck on the screen that shows it's plugged into iTunes and says the firmware isn't supported.

I just followed as many have said on here, iOS 11 beta 2 or pb --> iOS beta 10.3.3 --> iOS 10.3.2.
No need to go back to beta 1 or get via torrent.
read the following
https://9to5mac.com/2017/06/26/proper-ios-11-downgrade-procedure-detailed-on-apple-support-page/

That may be the case for you, but many others (including myself) also needed to downgrade to 11 beta 1 and not skip that firmware.

I wanted to thank everyone here for all your help and your comments. So often I go to forums and just read the information without ever contributing. Wanted to do my part and reiterate what has already been said. Also, hopefully this will keep others from wasting money.

I was on the public beta, which is ios 11 beta 2, using an iphone 6s. I was not able to downgrade to 10.3.2 and I was stuck in recovery mode. I took my phone to an Apple store and they told me that the beta was only for developers. What ticks me off is that Apple sent me a freaking email offering the public beta update for me to try! It's not like I skirted their security and tried to get the developer beta. I had hoped they would take responsibility for bricking my phone. Anyway, they told me that it could not be restored (after doing the exact same thing that I had done - connecting to iTunes and downloading 10.3.2), and that since my phone was out of the 1 year warranty, I would have to pay them $300 for a replacement. There was no way I was going to do that. However, my fear is that many other people will do that because they believe there is no other way to fix this. That is why I wanted to write this up. So, here's the solution:

1) Make sure you understand the difference between recovery mode and dfu mode. I've seen alot of people post on here without making any mention of what mode they were in, OR they think recovery mode IS dfu mode. Unfortunately, recovery mode did not work for me. Only dfu mode did. Here is a link to the difference between the two and how to access dfu mode - https://www.engadget.com/2011/05/25/iphone-101-what-is-dfu-mode-and-whats-the-difference-from-rec/

2) You can find the firmware versions with a simple google search (e.g. iPhone 6s ios 11 beta 1 ipsw). I found all the firmware versions this way without using any kind of bit torrent.

3) Get all your firmware versions downloaded on your computer (they're about 2gb each), connect to iTunes in dfu mode, 'shift-click' on restore iphone, and select the correct firmware.

4) Here is the correct order for ANYone. I understand some people have done it with fewer firmware versions, but assume you need to do it the long way if you don't want to do it over and over again like I did. FIRST, restore to 11 beta 2 if you are stuck in a recovery loop. You cannot enter DFU mode to my knowledge while it is stuck in the recovery loop. You'll know you are stuck in this mode if there is a picture of a lightning cable and iTunes. Then 11 beta 1, 10.3.3 beta 4, and finally 10.3.2.

You DO NOT need to turn off find my iPhone for this to work. You will eventually need to put in your iCloud credentials because iTunes will tell you that activation lock is turned on. However, I didn't put in my credentials in iTunes until I was back to 10.3.2. I also did not log out of iCloud prior to restoring firmwares.

Lastly, don't start using your phone or ipad until you have reverted to 10.3.2. You don't need to go through any prompts when you are welcomed on the lock screen. Just shut the phone down again and put it into dfu mode again.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.
