Uninstall and reinstall. The titles will still show 5.1 but start one playing that you know has atmos. Iron fist and lost in space do. After than you'll get the atmos tag on everything that has atmos. I did this yesterday and it worked.

You will see atmos from the ATV. It can't decode atmos and must pass the metadata so your receiver will still show atmos.

Thank you, you are correct. Just verified right now, my Denon shows Atmos when playing Jurassic World

Oddly this morning after unplugging every HDMI lead, then reconnecting atmos works on the apple TV. Netflix had another update overnight and at first it didn't play but a second or two later the atmos logo appeared and it now plays atmos.

Also created a thread for it but the store update at midnight enabled all of the iTunes movies with the logo to play in Atmos as well.

I was actually going to suggest this. HDMI can be quirky. With a software or firmware update it can be helpful, disconnecting and reconnecting causes both devices to communicate their EDID information, this is what tells each device what it is capable of.

The iTunes films are working correctly now. My avr shows an Atmos input, and is outputting it correctly. As I said, it wasn’t an issue anywhere but the source content. Apple have either fixed it or activated it for every compatible movie now

It is more likely that the source was just updated by Apple yesterday, but either your ISP or router needed a sort of "refresh" like with your browser, which may not have happened until middle of the night/early morning today. I've read on this quite a while back but may not be describing it well.

UK user and I’ve been running the Betas.

I had exactly same issue. No Atmos although Netflix app was working. After a simple RESET of the unit it kicked everything in to life. Amp displays Atmos.

Also, the HUD. After a reset it works now showing the Dolby Atmos and Vision. Before it was just showing HD and 5.1 for all titles.

I’ll give them credit. Sound hugely improved!
