I have been using iCloud to for a few weeks now with no problems. However, out of nowhere yesterday it prompted me to verify my email address. I had it send me an email to verify it, but i never receive the email. Then i tried to login via iCloud.com and then it came up with an error message (i should of done a screenshot of it, since it is doing a different thing now.) Now when i try to login at iCloud.com, it says "Check your email at undefined for instructions on how to verify your account." Is anyone else having problems logging in?

Me. As per my earlier thread. Curiously I'vejust looked at my iPod touch which was set up with my old MobileMe account settings and that seems to be receiving my emails.....

Me too. This thread is the only place on the internet that references that error message. It's affecting all iCloud services, including WebDAV for iCal, PhotoStream, email, contacts, etc.

My iCloud account is also xxxx@me.com, but I'm not getting those emails either.

Go to appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address to something else. It doesn't matter if the primary email address doesn't match your @me.com address, iCloud will still work by using your @me.com address.

If you can't delete it from that site, try logging in via iTunes and editing your account address that way.

I logged into iTunes using my @me.com (icloud) address....
but where in itunes can i change the email address? It's not in account settings...

----------

actually, it will not let me edit the email address associated with itunes. It says "this is your apple id " to the right of it, but it cannot be edited

In that case go to to appleid.apple.com and change it there.

There is some kind of problem with the AppleID site. When I log in, none of the email addresses can be edited or deleted....been like this since yesterday. Very frustrating!

works...

I can confirm that this works. I went and logged into the appleid.apple.com site and edited my primary email to a gmail address, and then verified it, then went to log into icloud and it logged in, then I was able to go back to the appleID site, change it back to my @me.com address, and I then received the verification email at my @me.com address (since I was already logged in) as I was supposed to. Now functioning as expected :)

Post above...I tried to do the same step as you and tried changing my primary address to a gmail address but no luck i press save and it says save successfully but it doesn't update to the new email it still says afkhakfh@me.com instead of the other gmail account i entered as you suggested. Any way to work around this?

My iPhone started getting iCloud email and my iMac stopped... got the same message to send for an email PW reset and then no email and no entry into iCloud... I press the send to Apple button each time... guess we just have to wait...:(:apple:

mean while later that day... I attempted the above suggestions at applied and iCloud will not open... I just hope it continues to function on my iPhone

This method works for me on iCloud.com, most recent iOS beta and Lion and restores all iCloud services. Weird that this is what it took, but good find.

Just as a note, you should log into some iCloud service after changing the primary email (e.g. iCloud.com) before then going back and changing primary to @me.com.

Same/similar problem. Have tried to amend my primary email address to one other than my Me address but to no avail.

Asking me to verify my iCloud account xxxxx@me.com. And then emails a link to verify to xxxxx@me.com. Which I can't open !

Error message is"
The iCloud IMAP server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user “yyyyyyyyyyyy”

Enter your password again or cancel."

when i try to edit the email address (may it be Primary or Alternative) the site will not allow any change...do u notice an issue with the site itself?? (Apple ID management) ;(

THIS. Nothing I do seems to correct this problem. Huge issue for me. Does this seem to be a temporary glitch in their system or a larger problem?

Won't allow me to change my registered email address. Strange.

Do u think this is an issue on Apples end? I too cannot change my emails at all regarding my Apple ID. :( NOt sure what do to.......both primary and alternate emails are not changing on the site (myappleid)
My itunes account has my @me.com email as its alternate email...but this cannot be altered or deleted no matter how much i try.

In my MobileMe/iCloud account my primary email is @me.com but it says not verified, and if i try to, it says it is in use with another AppleID. (ie,,my iTunes one) but it cannot be changed to free it up to verify as primary email for @me.com.......so confusing, but I guess its something Apple is doing as these emails cannot be changed right now. Using Outlook with MobileMe server settings until this is fixed/solved.
