I was not sure where to post this. I have been trying to print a return label for Apple for the last day and it keeps saying it’s not able to and to try again “in a few hours.” Has this happened to anyone else? How can I get it to print?

thanks.

Are you able to see the actual label but unable to print it with that error message, or are you unable to view it from the Apple website?

I'm not able to view it to begin with. When I click on the button that would give me the label, it says "We're unable to create your return label at this time."

I have tried to get it to create from a browser and from the apple store app.

I'm not sure this is possible, but I wonder if Apple Support might be able to email it to you.

Same problem! It just says,

We're unable to create your return label at this time.

I tried the chat and that was something special, their chat bots cannot deal with their customers not being able to print labels.

I’m having the same exact same issue; may just return at Apple store if persists. Annoying to say the least.

Are the labels created on the fly or something? Why not just send us the actual label.

I really don’t want to goto a store. Not even sure if ones around me are open.

I talked with Apple this morning; it is a known issue with no ETC. They are having FedEx pickup the return at my house instead.

Same issue. The less than helpful rep on the phone told me to go to fedex and they could print the label. She could not explain to me how that would work though, as she couldn’t tell me what info I had to provide them. It’s been about 4 days since I started the return.

I had the same issue. I contacted Apple via chat last night. A very nice person told me they know about this issue. It may take 10 days to resolve. Reluctantly I ended up making an appointment at local Apple Store and returned the item there.

Same problem, started on Sunday noon. Yesterday I called, they said it would take 24-48 hrs to email the label. BTW, I am returning a new Apple Watch 6 that quit communicating after 2 days. After factory reset, the pairing crashes.

I did personal shopper, never actually went into the store, all was handled outside. I did not have to cancel the mail-in return.

Apple support is very poor. In May I tried to return a new iPhone SE purchased from the online Apple store. I specifically asked if DHL (the courier chosen by Apple) would do everything required (provide packaging, required labels etc.) and I said that I do not have a printer nor access to one. The Apple employee on the phone from Ireland said no problem, the courier will do it all. It transpired that this Apple guy lied to me as it turned out that DHL required me to provide the label. I ended up getting rid of the phone through other means. Lesson learned: Apple tells you what they feel will satisfy you at that moment.

Unfortunately things of that nature with different representatives aren't unusual with pretty much any company out there.

Made multiple calls to support. Tried printing out by logging into my account, and not logging in but using the order number. Neither worked. They sent a support ticket to (development?) so I am supposed to get an emailed PDF label within 24 hours.

I finally got the right person. Used the chat. They offered to have FedEx print the label, bring it to me, and take the package! They are coming today. I asked why I had not been offered this before, they did not know. BTW, i never got an emailed label, even after 48 hours.
