Can't share folders in Notes

Hi, everyone,

One of the best updates to Notes, in my opinion, is that you can apparently now share whole folders of notes with people as opposed to just sharing individual notes. I've tried this with my wife, however, and it's not working. Each time I try, whether it be via Messages or AirDrop, I get the error "Sorry, people couldn't be added."

Has anyone managed to get this working?

Yeah, it is. I've asked in a few places and heard people say it's fine but I've tried with my wife's iCloud account and my brother's and they both have the same issue. Frustrating.
