I just got a new Kia Seltos and my iPhone 12 Pro is not connecting via Bluetooth to CarPlay, I need to connect it using the USB cable. I know it’s something with my phone because my sister has the same car but she has the iPhone XS, she is connecting to her CarPlay using only Bluetooth without problem. Is anybody else having the same problem by any chance?
Wireless Carplay is solely dependent on your vehicle, not on the phone. An iPhone that supports Carplay supports both wired and wireless.

You have to setup wifi as well as bluetooth. All Menus>Setup>Wifi>Use Wifi for phone projection. Then try pressing and holding voice recognition button on the steering wheel. All of this information should be in your cars owners manual.

My Kia doesn’t have Wifi (neither does my sisters’). I was talking with her and when she connects her iPhone XS using Bluetooth, she can see the “Phone Projection” option which doesn’t happen to me

Wireless CarPlay is a combination of bluetooth and Wifi. If your sisters kia doesn't have wifi, she doesn't have wireless CarPlay.

Let’s say that she’s “using” her wireless CarPlay via the Phone projection option, which she gets when she’s connected via Bluetooth. This is her screen:

and this is my screen (we are both connected only through Bluetooth, same Kia model, the only difference is our phones):

I think she has a bluetooth connection and a cable connection. Here is the explanation over on the Seltos forum. " It appears my Seltos radio-head only supports Wired Projection for Android Auto not Wireless projection. This means while calls and audio apps can stream over Bluetooth - map projection requires a wire." https://www.seltosforum.com/threads/wireless-android-auto-option-for-kia-seltos.161/
