Thanks for the app suggestions, but I use Logos 4 Scholar and the Logos app syncs with my work/home computers.

Looking for case/messenger bag/etc... suggestions

Logos for iPad doesn't have any offline capabilities. That's a big negative.

I gave ordered this one. Seems to be the best for my needs. They are popular though and are on backorder...

It was about two weeks from the time I ordered to the email they were shipping. I received mine the Monday after launch of the iPad.

What color combo did you order?

I completely agree to a point. You can make some of your library available offline, however, i cant add notes to my bible through logos. So, I did purchase Olive and like that app. Pleasantly surprised at what that app can do. I see myself using that from the pulpit on Sundays very soon after my initial studies and note taking.

Yes, I see that there is a "make offline" option available. That greatly improves things. I agree that the inability to add notes and highlight verses is another limitation.

I don't ever see myself using an electronic Bible from the pulpit ever. Even though I have been a software developer for over 28 years and known as 'mr. Gadget', an iPad would cramp my style. But for those who could make use of it, that is great.

Seminars and classes are another story entirely and plan to use my iPad instead of a notebook.

As for Bible software in general, I have Logos, QuickVerse, and a half dozen Other apps, but the one that i feel most comfortable with and can tear through to use in preparing a message, is, believe it or not, e-Sword.

I'm using the Holy Bible HD on my iPad

I also like the BibleXpress, but haven't purchased the iPad version.

As a side note, the Living Word app is great, and I hope it's released for the iPad

Youversion seems to publish the one I mentioned above.

I use the YouVersion on the iPad and it is fantastic. Highly recommended. However, I did notice the iPhone version had contributors for various verses while the iPad version does not? Either way, this app has nearly every translation you'd want.
