Is there currently a back shell only smart cover compatible case? I don't need the smart cover all the time and I can't find any back shells without the cover.

This is the one I have and currently use. It works without the Smart Cover or with. However without it will obviously be exposed down one side where the Smart Cover normally attaches. The top and bottom sides are also open and I would prefer it if they weren't but it doesn't really bother me. It goes on easily and doesn't add any noticeable bulk or weight. It's made from polycarbonate.

There is also this one although I have no experience of it. It's made from polyurethane.

Definitely my favorite case of all time - it's usually cheaper on amazon so I asked them if they had any promo codes and they gave: 40off

Ordered mine today!

Just ordered a red 360. Code still works!

The best case on the market right now is this case, in my opinion,

The Logitech Anyangle case, you actually have more than 3 veiwing angles, and it's high quality!

Here are some pics. I have to be honest with ya, I think the KAVAJ is going back. It's nice, smells good, well constructed, etc... but it just isn't as foolproof from a stability standpoint, not does it have as many positioning options as the Devicewear unit. And as you can see from the side by side pic, there is no difference in thickness. Very nice unit, and I guess the black is okay. Devicewear is supposed to be shipping all colors, as of today, so check 'em out! Good luck!

I'm not surprised. I've had two leather portfolio cases and neither worked well as a stand. The leather hinge softens over time. I ordered a Devicewear 360 since I really just want a portrait stand for writing. The promo code still worked.

Last week I got a Poetic Smart Cover style case, but the blue paisley batch is missing the headphone port cutout. Otherwise it fits well. Poetic sent a refund and told me not to bother shipping it back. I'll keep it for when I sell the air 2 when the air 5 comes out :)

Hi mate,

These 2 are the covers I'm looking at too. Embarrassingly, I don't know what the difference in the feel of both materials you linked to is. Could you explain?

Also, I used to have a hard case for my old iPhone 4. Thing is that over time I found that it scratched the rear of the phone. What do you think with this cover? Or is it designed well enough to not scratch the rear up?

Finally, how well does it work with the smart cover? When the smart cover is closed over, are there any gaps?

Pics would be great if possible please.

The Kavaj Hamburg model does not have this issue.

The Berlin model I wasn't wild about either as it did have this problem.
