"When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
― C.S. Lewis

Well, I'm not on C.S. Lewis's plane -- I suspect you aren't either. So quoting him to compare to him is a bit silly. He was a one-off with unique talents. Same goes with e.e. cummings. He could get away with not using caps and still look like a genius. We can't. And none of that makes any of the bands OP displayed good taste anyway. I think both C.S. Lewis and e.e. cummings would agree.

Thanks for sharing. My sister in law might want to use that coupon code. She loves to accessorize. :)

I don't think you know what the word "elitist" means. There are lots of things that one might wear as a kid that they "retired" as they matured. That's not elitist, it's natural.

Look, you asked for comments. I gave you my thoughts. You didn't like them. Fair enough. But it's the truth. No self-respecting adult would wear those designs. Only kids could get away with them. Sorry if that hurts.

Please get over yourself. Since when do you represent all adults? This OP put some creative work into something and wanted to share. You don't have to like them but you could show some class by either not responding at all or stating your thoughts in an respectful manner.

He asked for opinions. Or by "opinions" was that suppose to be limited to the type of encouragement one gives a 2 y.o. when they bring home a painting? Please. Participation trophies are for kids too unless its for an actual achievement like running a half or full marathon.

Other three the green one in the OP, I rather like the patterns for a casual band (the only reason I don't like the green is the pattern switching on the bottom part of the band)

By saying that only a kid would wear something like this you were implying that you were better than and I was less than for even considering it hence my elitist comment. And there is a difference between saying something is not for you and making someone feel less than. But like I said I quite expected it, it is the internet. No love lost brotha.

This brings up a good point though. Apple has marketed the watch as a luxury item. Does this mean that bands can't be fun and lighthearted? I know many adults that have interests that seem "childish"to others. Does this mean that my friend who has a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 (first appearance of Spider-Man) and owns more Spider-Man memorabilia than I've ever seen can't/shouldn't rock a band with a Spider-Man logo? I have a friend that makes a living as a professional gamer. Should he not wear a band with his gamer tag on it? These watches are an expression of ourselves. Aren't they?

Perfect response, OP! Who is the adult here and who is the child? Love the bands!

Spiderman one is cool.

DC and Marvel bands will really take off. People won't say its tacky when Apple do it and you know they will.

I had enough referral credits, and a coupon so I paid $20

I didn't realize they raised the price from last month, I don't know if the material will be any good, but my kid was happy he could make me something

When they first launched this, it was a preorder at $50, then it went up to $60. Now, it's $70! Looks like they're realizing it harder or costlier to make or they're just overwhelmed with orders. Good thing I got my order in at $30 with coupon code ZFYU6U, which still works.

What a moronic thing to say. Yes, the lesson of every great or inspiring quote is that the individual who said it is much better than anyone else, making their wisdom useless and entirely inapplicable to the lives of us mere mortals. I'm sure that's really what you think and it's not that you've simply backed yourself into a preposterous corner thanks to a dumb internet fight that you started by choosing to be inconsiderate.

My apologies if that comment was less than kind. I decided to show you every bit as much civility as you showed OP.

Back on topic I'm looking forward to seeing photographs of these actually printed. I like the concept but I'm not sure about the quality.

No worries. Your comment is guided by your honest thoughts and what you believe is true just as mine were. I can take the heat -- especially from Internet strangers. I suggest other posters learn the same. My comments were not intended to be mean spirited but clearly some people have such a thin skin they can't handle honest constructive criticism even whey they openly ask for it. (Note: I didn't say "these suck... I said, if your intended market is..." That's the kind of language that goes on in business meetings. It's how it's decided if a product is matched to an intended demographic).

It's a shame that these bands won't ship until June, so we can stay on topic and not have to deal with unrelated banter that I don't even care to follow what's going on.

People need to realize "to each their own." I have a snap-on case from Spigen, and a glass screen protector from Luvvitt, and neither of them bother me and in fact, it looks great, and people even notice better than I have an WATCH. Also, I'm on the fence about this or the Stainless Stee version, so I'm babying it in case I need to return it to Apple or sell it off.

Im regards to Casetify, I'm just anxious to see the quality of the materials as well as the quality of the print design. My image I uploaded to them to print on my watch band was big and sharp, so the rest is up to them.

I'd also like to see how they are going to justify the price increase, as I'd want to consider a second one with a totally different design, should this one turn out awesome.

Just an FYI, my order status finally got updated on June 8 to "Printing in progress - Your case is being made, and every corner is being checked before shipment." Considering they gave me a tracking number since early May, I guess I'm gonna have to wait just a little bit longer until they throw it in a padded package and send it out. I just don't know where it's being manufactured (USA? China?), which could delay my shipping time.

There was a Casetify pop up shop in Hong Kong this past weekend at PMQ. They had a small selection of apple watch bands, such as the donut one. Looking through the box, the adaptor seemed to be decent quality, but I didn't take it out of the box and try it on an actual watch.

Thanks. At least it looks like they are shipping with SS adapters. I'm reluctant to take such an expensive chance on a plastic band right now but I am eager to read reviews on them when people finally get their bands.

Thursday and still in the same "Printing in progress" status. Does it really take four days to print an image on a watch band? Mind you, I placed this order back in April, and while they did say they're going to start production early June, one would figure that this status update would be rather quick (or quicker) from when it was first updated early Monday.

Does anyone know if the bands come with a matte aluminum adapter or SS? I thought the color choice was matte so I was thinking aluminum to go with the Sport Watches. I have a few pairs of Birkenstock sandals that some of the more plain color designed bands might look very nice with. I have a SS AW though so wouldn't want to have to buy another adapter on top of the one that comes with it at those prices. Could swap out with my current classic band parts but not sure I want to keep unscrewing the parts and probably want a more permanent solution for the band.

I am curious to hear from anyone who orders one as to the quality not only of the band but the adapters. If you get a poorly made adapter you could get it stuck in the watch case or if the metal has a sharp edge you could cut yourself as you try to pull it out of the slot or scratch the case removing it.

I considered ordering a nice two-color pink band and got as far as the cart. Read the terms, and part of which is that the cost doesn't include any custom fees, taxes, etc that can be assessed. You need to pay whomever before getting delivery and it's your responsibility to find out about that and pay for it upon receipt. That was too up in the air for me. I know European countries have VAT but no idea if there are any fees to deliver to the U.S. I'll wait to hear back from you guys and see what your experience is. Any one know if these are coming from the U.S. or from China or somewhere else?

I also emailed them about a few things (found an address but not sure it's where it should have been sent as they don't provide contact info, another thing I don't like when I go to a site to shop). I think the bands start off all white and are painted but not sure and if so wanted to know if they get scratched if they will show through to the bottom color. Wanted to know if the metal parts and band also met Apple specifications for manufacturing (dimensions, toxicity, etc). They mention space gray adapters with polished stainless and then matte buckles so I'm really confused what exactly you get. Hope those that ordered will post photos.

I got mine in the mail today. The quality is not worth the money paid, as the graphics printing seemed low quality and the band feels like a cheap plastic almost foam like.

However it was the only way I could see to get a sports band with my fandom on it. Also the background being white created some trim issues at the adapter end when worn.

Thanks for posting your photos Goalieed. Also appreciate the review. It's kind of what I was expecting but wasn't sure. I had emailed them with questions at some address here in the US (probably for retailers to use) and never got a response. The white band on the backside isn't so bad but the ends really should have been colorized too. Did you supply the adapters or did they out of curiosity?

The adapters came pre-installed. I'm not even sure how I could separate the band from the adapters if I wanted to.

Thanks for the heads up, @Goalieed. Not such good news to hear if the material of the band is "foam like." Still waiting to receive mine, but I'm curious - what image quality did you upload to their site?

Not sure, but it was a high resolution background I found. I had no notice that there was anything "suboptimal quality". I probably should have said more plastic like then foam like...but much thicker then I expected.
