My delivery is coming quicker than expected! My 15 Pro Max Amethyst case is out for delivery, here's to hoping the buttons are tactile and there's no visible MagSafe ring on the back.
Caudabe did it again! The buttons are tactile enough for me for a TPU case with no dedicated buttons, and there’s no MagSafe ring visible on my case in any light. I was nervous after hearing and seeing some other people’s experiences.
I'm a case guy, I used to buy 10+ cases for my iPhones back in the day. I loved my Caudabe Sheath for the 14 Pro so much, that I had a handful of cases and kept coming back to the Sheath as much as I liked the appearance of other cases. The Sheath just always felt so right in the hand. I think I'll be good with the Sheath as my main case again this go round along with a clear one.
Here’s my Blue Titanium 15 Pro Max in the Amethyst Caudabe Sheath! I love this combo, but I'm not sure the lighting does the pairing justice. Funny enough, my 15 Pro Max with the Caudabe Sheath feels much lighter than my 14 Pro with the same case on. The weight re-distribution on the 15 Pro series was very well done.
Those with a Sheath/Synthesis with a visible MagSafe ring indentation - do you consider it a fault or did you just keep it? Were Caudabe open to sending a replacement just for that reason?
I've never had this issue with any of the Sheaths I've had, including the Celestial Blue Sheath I had recently. Just ordered a Gray Sheath and hoping it's issue free. Definitely more quality issues with Caudabe's cases this year compared to previous years.
Is anyone using a camera protector with their Sheath? I’m thinking of buying a camera protector (the kind that does not cover the lens) with a Sheath.
Today is the day, Stacey. Let us know if you get it and your experience.
How do I like this comment 100x? I have no clue why people use camera lens protectors. Those lenses are incredibly tough. There's no need. If there were, we'd see way more complaints about it considering the lenses basically hit whatever surface you place your phone on. The lenses are much tougher than the back and front glass of the body of the phone. All you really need is a case that has a slight lip to minimize impact and you'll be fine. You don’t need it, looks rubbish as well x
Good choice with the gray Sheath on the natural titanium. That combination is beautiful. My cousin just ordered two 15 PM Sheath's, one for him and one for me.
We used the 30% off code, plus we got free shipping and no additional taxes.
He lives in London, I'm in Italy instead but there will be a classic family reunion for Christmas so I'll get my case once I'll be there.
We don't have the phones yet, we should get them together when we meet next month.
He went for the purple and I went for the gray as I'm planning to get the natural titanium (blue titanium for him).
Never had a Sheath or any other Caudabe case before, I hope it's a good one.
For 30% off and free shipping it was worth to try imho, then I can always get something else to alternate.
Those of you with both the sheath and the synthesis, why do most people prefer the synthesis this year? Can’t find a straight answer.
Thanks! The dots thing is not weird at all. I have the Gripmunk case and the grooves on the side are super satisfying to hold.I have both. Reasons I prefer the Synthesis:
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Sheath as well, but I haven’t felt the need to try any other case since receiving the Synthesis.
- I love the slightly tighter fit, it makes it feel less like a case and more like an extension of the phone, if that makes any sense.
- Cutouts are more precise.
- Material is harder than the Sheath and feels really good in the hand.
- No visible MagSafe ring.
- Significantly stronger magnets.
- Better grip because of the dots on the sides. The dots also just feel really nice to run your fingers over, which I know is super weird, but it’s satisfying for some reason haha.
Does the Synthesis add more bulk?I have both. Reasons I prefer the Synthesis:

Neither case really adds bulk, but if any it would be the Sheath that feels more bulky.Does the Synthesis add more bulk?
Is it heavier than the Sheath?
I actually find the synthesis to be a little bigger but lighter.Neither case really adds bulk, but if any it would be the Sheath that feels more bulky.
If I remember correctly, the Sheath is actually 2 or 3 grams heavier than the Synthesis.
It’s a toss up tbh, neither feel bulky to me, but I feel like the Sheath is slightly, and very slightly more bulky.I actually find the synthesis to be a little bigger but lighter.
UK members, just posted a brand new Caudabe Sheath in the marketplace. Grey, 15 Pro
Nope, unfortunately Caudabe messed up this year with the buttons. Specifically the action button was pretty terrible on all 3 I tried. Seems like they were late to the game trying to figure out the action button- which is why they didn’t even have the cases with it at first, and then most likely rushed it out as they knew people wanted it. And yes, had to try 3 different Sheaths since all 3 had defects somehow with damage. I’m pretty much done with Caudabe now, can’t really trust them at this point. They also won’t let you leave a negative review on their site, which is incredibly shady.I just got my Sheath and the volume and action buttons are super mushy. They make no noise at all when clicked. The power button is very clicky and makes a click sound. Is this rhe design or have I got a defective unit?
