i had the a problem with activation also, I put my apartment number on line two like I do all other forms. It came back that my address wasn't found. However when I moved the apartment number to the first line with the rest of the address it was able to find my address, and activate.

Do you have any relatives that don't live in the boonies? You could try using their card and address.

The application even corrects my address to a proper format, yet it still says to validate it no matter what I do.

I used my mother-in-law's credit card and billing address and it worked--so obviously there is nothing wrong with the iPad itself. However; once I need to renew I'll be screwed again.

I have a very normal address. I even had an iPhone and another AT&T phone at this address.

I think I have tried every way my address can be typed in. When I tried my parents address which is the same town, I get the same message but when I type in my sisters address which is in minneapolis, then it knows the CC doesn't match the billing address. I am not going to ask my sister for a cc. There has got to be a simple way around this.

Call your credit card company and add your sister's address to the account. Then try using that address with your CC.

Does she live in the same area as you? Or is it and At&t covered area? Ya the ipad puts it into a format like it is going to work. I still need to figure out if it is my address or if it is becuase it is not an at&t covered area?

Sorry for not clarifying. She lives in another state but happened to be visiting. Her address is further away from 3G coverage than mine.

huh that is interesting. I just did a search and it looks like there are quite a few people having the issue. Tons with a PO box prob over on apples site.

Anyone else with this problem or seen any possible solutions????????

The answer today from AT&T ia becuase my CC has the extra 4 digits on my zip code. I have to have the bank remove them.

Sounds good but you have got to be kidding me.

how many poeple believe that?

Sounds like BS to me. My town doesn't use ZIP+4 and I still can't activate.

Well I talked to the bank. They are required to have the additional four digits on the zip code by law. However they did take them off for me for a couple of days to see if I can make this work.

I will see if it works tonight. For some reason I am not very hopeful.

How long does it take for your bank to update your address?

I removed the default +4 they added to my address on one of my accounts, but the bank said it can take up to 24 hours to fully reflect that in their systems.

I'm going to give it until tomorrow evening to see if that works.

They said it work right away. On the phone with att now. we'll see what they say tonight.

Well they couldn't fix it but they set up a case # and a resolved by date of the 7th I think. Took my phone # so it gave me some hope. They should have done this the first day though.

Tried it again last night, same thing. Tried it again this morning and now I get a different error. Today it says:
The zip code you entered is not in an AT&T Service area. Please check back soon. If you think you may have entered the wrong zip code, please re-enter and try again. (C30000062002)

What is that suppose to mean? You cant tell me I have this mobile device that I can't activate becuase I live in the middle of nowhere.

As another poster said above, calling your bank and having them add an address that is within an AT&T service area will probably solve the problem. You don't have to change your billing address, but have them add that address to your billing profile and you should be good to go. Now use that added address when you activate.

FYI they have changed the sign up form for the cellular service as of this morning. Now in addition to the billing address they revised physical address to service address. So I put in my address, said that I was not in at&t area, so I added a service address that is in the coverage area and my plan activated with no problems. My problem is solved!!! Thanks AT&T!!!!

Awesome. Glad to hear you're online finally. I'll know if it works for me after these first 250 are gone.

Thanks for the info. My dad has been holding off on his 3G signup since he has a PO Box address. He does, however, live in a AT&T service area. Hopefully this will help.
