Can the color of the font be changed?
I want to specifically change the color of the selected music name.
It is usually white.

Any Windows options out there for something like this?
I would like make my iTunes to look like a shiny black iPod nano.
I took a quick peek at iTunes.exe in VS.NET on Windows, but it seems that the resources are all hidden away.

While that is cool, I wonder why apple didn't change the color of the music note in the iTunes ap icon. It's gone from multi colored to purple to blue to green but this time they didn't change it. I wonder why?

Because green is the color of money, and they are making a killing off the iTunes solution.

No, they wouldn't want to mess with "muscle memory". It was fine to change it for Mac users who leave the icon in their Dock, but on Windows they needed something recognizable, and green was the winner.

It is 152, at least for the main and mini-mode views. I am not sure if 157 is even used at all. Thanks for pointing those out to me, completely missed them - serves me right for tying to hack apps after having a few drinks. :D

Remember to update 154, too! (The Apple Logo). I wish they'd used a different method for that box, because this one limits how creative you can be (so much for my complex reflections!), but at least it can now be a refreshing blue that matches the highlight bars.

Could somebody make a blue or classic .rsrc file for the new iTunes 6? I'm hesitant about putting an old resource file in the new iTunes, especially since it has a new video icon and all.

I doubt that using a resource file from iTunes 5 will break iTunes 6. 6 is basically 5.1, because all it adds is "Videos" in the source side bar. Maybe they did it because iTunes 4 was the norm for more than 2 years?

Would one be able to make theirs brushed metal using this?

Is it just the top part that is made from an image, or is the entire background of the app. able to be a tileable image?

ok how does this .rsrc file work? i replace the original in the pakcage contents and it didn't work. i got, "itunes couldn't open becuase there is not enough memory" or something like that

To answer my own question, iTunes 5 .rsrc files are compatible with iTunes 6 I tried and they work fine. I have modified one of the files listed earlier in this forum to make it a little more uniform. There are still gaps, such as the search bar and a couple of other places, and I wish I could change font colors, but it's the 1st time I've ever done anything like this ever. I was using themepark for those of you who are curious.

When I tried using the iTunes 5 resource file I had little dark/black glitches on the window corners. I assumed they were not 100% compatible and was set on reworking the new resource file from version 6. Besides, even if it looks alright you are probably missing new resources used in version 6 for videos, new iPod icons, etc. Or did you just take the altered images from 5 and drop them in the new 6 resource file?

I do plan on making one or two different styles specifically for version 6 once I get the time and I'll post links to download the updated resource file that can be dropped into the iTunes app package, but I probalby won't get to that for about a week.

Actually to be sure of compatibility I reworked a v6 rsrc file, so it should be fully compatible, although I have not changed the window corner tiff's. They are very near the bottom of the list if you want to change them. By the way, if the file is incomplete or improperly named or missing, it will say there is not enough memory, so make sure your file name is right biohazard. Have a nice day :)
