Made a separate thread here discussing charger compatibility. It seems not all chargers are created equal, at least for the M1 12.9" in my experience.

I’ve only Used Samsung Fast and Super fast chargers. I always carry on me a 65 Watt Samsung Charger which charges.

Nintendo Switch
13.3” Galaxy Book Pro laptop
Note 20 Ultra 5G
11” iPad Pro

and a 6 foot USB-C cable

Is your 11" 2018/2020 model? The Galaxy charger worked totally fine on mine as well.

Only this new M1 12.9" is throwing a tantrum. I don't know if other 12.9" (any year up to 2021) owners can test that out. She doesn't charge at all with Samsung 25W brick :(

Might sound silly but filp the cable ends and try The cable with a known good charger. Maybe its a bad cable.

Most definitely not. I used the same cable (braided & 100W PD rated), first on the Samsung 25W charger for my Galaxy-not working, then on Apple's 20W charger that comes with the iPad-working well.

On my other thread someone mentioned handshake protocol. The iPad when paired with Samsung 25W keeps connecting and disconnecting repeatedly (I can hear it from the sound cue), as if it had trouble identifying the charger. The battery icon turned green for a split second then back to white (discharge) status.

If the power adapter is indeed faulty how come it still fast charges my Galaxy very well? Or does it only apply to Apple as a third party device?

Check out the Anker products on Amazon, like this dual-port 60W charger -

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-AK-A2029121-60W-PD-Ports/dp/B07DFGXLY4

I also noticed that RAVPower has fallen off of Amazon - too bad as I have several of their products that I have used for years. They and Anker have been my go-to vendors on these kind of products. You can order direct from RAVPower and they have a 25% coupon sale at the moment.

It appears that this $80 multi-port charger above can accommodate these devices at these output.
  • 45W USB-C - iPad Pro
  • 30W USB-C - iPhone Pro Max
  • 10.5W USB-C - Watch or AirPods
  • 10.5W USB-A - AirPods or Watch
This same SKU charger can be had for $49 my home country.

And then use the original 140W charger for the MBP 16". I wanted a 5th port that can output 140W but I do not think any charger will ever do this within the next half decade at under $100

Noticing regular chargers/wall-warts don’t provide enough charge. The charge symbol shows up, but the iPad (12.9 miniLED in my case) either charges slowly (if not being used and off) or gradually loses charge if it’s in use despite being plugged in.

Does anyone know what’s best for being capable of charging while using?

The official USB-C apple charger seems to work fine with mine. It actually charges at a reasonable pace.
