The iChatr App Brings Chatroulette-Style Mischief to Your iPhone 4

The iChatr iPhone app is as exciting as it is terrifying. Why? Because it's basically Chatroulette for your iPhone.

The app is free, but does require an iPhone 4. All you do is connect to your Wi-Fi network, open the app, and swipe through chat partners like the lady in the photo. I just hope that, unlike her, you don't encounter too many weird-looking guys—or wanking ones. [iTunes—Thanks, Scaughtt!]

i wouldnt trust it. i went to chat roulette once and 4 of the 10 quick clicks a guy was jacking. 3 had no shirt 1 had a mask on and 2 where normal. just messed up.

why? facetime is open API

Just because it is going to be like ChatRoulette with a bunch of guys doing you know what - probably not as bad, but still. Even though it has a 17+ warning, I just didn't think Apple would allow it seeing as how they have approached "overtly sexual" apps in the past.

I guarantee this App will not last long before Apple pulls the plug.

They've repeatedly shown they don't like this kind of publicity. You know it's going to be in the news.

After 10 minutes I actually had a convo with a good looking girl in Cali.. The other 20 minutes was spent dodging penises... Some strange people out there...

Only saw a few penises. One guy yelled, "Dude, it's actually a girl!" They were drunk. We talked for a bit. :p

I'd really like the application if it didn't show the same people over & over. I kept getting sent back to awkward people.

Haha. I'm in a red shirt, curly/fuzzy wet hair. :p

I talked to this really nice guy in Jersey. I accidentally hit my screen & it left his window. :( Sucky.

Can't wait to see how many are people on the loo. I've only seen CR based on a skit or two on The Daily Show, so it's not something I'm exactly thinking is a good idea. I'm really surprised it was approved with a name so close to Apple's iChat. Maybe "iChatter" would be a better idea.

man, am i the only one who actually really enjoys this app, despite seeing a penis every now and then? lol...
