So like I said when I first built this thing, one of the advantages is you can add in a PC mobo, cpu, and RAM then you'll have a whole new computer. With the new Mac Pro looming, I thought I'd link in what I ended up doing with this case:

Years ago I had a Windows machine as a data server. I had 9 hard drives on it
SATA II 400 500 and 750 GB in size.

I believe the PSU I was using was NOT modular.
I did had to have one bank of drives 12V power on a separate toggle switch and a "spin up" wait time in bios, sort of like SCSI for you old timers out there.

What was happening is that the PSU would not have enough juice to spin up all the drives at the same time. Mind you this was a 550 or 600 watt unit.

The mobo was what I used as a hacki ntosh before I got a 3,1.

I like this idea of media storage but the cabling in the back needs to be at least somewhat cleaner, same with the inside. These fans won't do much if so much area is blocked by cabling.

Other than that cool idea.
