Anyone else get an "We are unable to authorize your payment source" email?

The initial purchase authorization went fine, so I don't understand what the issue could be, or why it would try and re-authorize today??? I've read that sometimes these emails go out accidentally, but I don't want my order getting cancelled!

Any thoughts?

Easy enough to determine. Go to the order status page on your account on the Apple store website. If it has a red bar on top of the status and a note to correct the problem then it's legitimate. The link it gives allows you to change the payment information or reattempt an autjorization.
 
Mine doesn't show anything as of yet. I preordered the first day it was available, but never had any temporary hold or anything. :(

Not all credit card types show temp charges. Are you sure the charge isn't reflected in your current available credit?
 
I had a pending charge for a few days, then yesterday afternoon I checked to see if it was still pending...not so much. The charge just disappeared all together. Definitely not thrilled bout Apple playing with my emotions right now. :mad:

Nope, I just checked.

I'll keep an eye on it and call them the middle of next week if I don't see anything by then.
 
My CC still has a pre-auth. Been there for a few days now. Longer time than the previous pre-auths.

Ditto. But, since it has been taking so long it does appear Apple will likely instruct FedEX/UPS to hold the Ipads until the 30th.
 
I wish they would just charge for it, and let it be done. I know I won't have it in my hands till April 30th. I don't think Apple is going to run off with my cash, and not send me an iPad. lol.
 
Take My Money< Please!!!

Does anybody else find it extraordinary that there are actually forums full of threads virtually begging Apple to take our money? Does this happen with any other company? Gotta love aapl.
