Hey all,
So tomorrow morning my mission is to phone Apple to get my *second* replacement MacBook sent over to me.
I started my order over a month ago now. My first took 2.5 weeks to arrive and when it did it had 2 glaring dead pixels in the centre of the screen. So off for a replacement. That took 2 weeks to arrive at which point I was like, "great! no dead pixels! no mooing! YES!".
So I use it for a while but find it's starting to bend when it's been on for a bit! After it's cooled down it goes back to normal shape, but during a few hours use it is so badly deformed it's a pain to work on and I feel like throwing it out of the window.
I'm so annoyed at Apple at the moment because I had waited to buy a MacBook when I had some spare cash but now I have parted with that cash but havn't actually got a laptop I want to work on yet. Everytime I look at it I just can't be bothered to play with it now... I'm extremely tempted to ask for my money back...
I'd be very happy if they said my replacement MacBook had been upgraded to a black one or maybe get the new version of OS X which will probably come out at WWDC. But is that actually likely to happen? I didn't think so... I might try it on though - can't hurt to try! They've had my cash acruing interest in their bank now and these to MacBooks i've sent back will be in their refurb store I'm sure earning them even more cash.
Seriously Apple, get it sorted.
