I don’t think it’s that complicated. April Fools Day, Mother’s Day, etc. are recognized, at least in theory, by everyone. Easter is not.

I don't recognize april fools, or flag day. And in theory, not everyone celebrates Christmas. This isn't complicated. Just puzzling. Seems to be religious holidays dropped.

Maybe they tend to avoid any religious battles, who knows.

I don't understand why it has to be a religious battle (not that I am implying you believe as such). Why should anyone be upset that Easter is listed on a calendar any more so then a Jewish Celebration or Muslim celebration? As A Christian, I have zero issues seeing another faiths celebration on my calendar. It does not change my beliefs, nor threaten to change my beliefs, nor harm me in any way. The same goes for not seeing Easter listed on my Calendar. It does not change my beliefs, nor threaten to change my beliefs, nor harm me in any way.

Only statutory holidays should be in the calendar by default.

Imagine if someone invented a religion and told their boss they got the rest of the week off. You would be laughed out of the office, and told don't come back to work if you actually *did* take those days off...

Earth Day is a US Holiday o_O

I added a US Holiday subscription to iOS which has all the holidays apple leaves out.
Easy fix for anyone who wants to see the religious holidays on their calendar.

Easter appears on my calendar, but it's pulled from my Gmail US Holidays calendar. Apple's US Holidays calendar displays April Fools day.
