I have a family and as much as I would love to buy the newest and best there's some things that come first in life to me besides technology. As a computer programmer my computers still don't come first. Besides the fact that I am not willing to allow hd 3000 gpu into my house I won't be upgrading until ivy bridge even if it were nvidia

I'm addicted to unboxing new Macbook's, I even appreciate the smell :)

I can understand the buyer's excitement in opening a new product (like a laptop), but I still don't get why ppl need to share that unboxing experience with the world by filming it and uploading it to youtube (this is not toward the poster, just in general). I mean, seriously, why would anyone else care (unless maybe its a rare item that no one else can buy)?

Even stranger is that when I was selling my MBP a year ago (excellent cond, and at a really good price, by the way), I had one buyer tell me that he would not buy the laptop if it didn't come with the original box. He was buying for himself, and he got mad at me, saying that I was being a shady seller by selling an incomplete item (laptop with all original accessories and manuals, but no box). Jeez, really, what do you plan to do with the box, eat it? I mean, its just gonna sit in the closet or get tossed anyway. I guess I just dont get some people.

I always keep the boxes for everything I buy, and inform about it in my ads when I sell something. I would think that others who intend to sell at one point do the same. It would be like buying RayBan's without the box and certificate. More likely to be stolen.

Off topic, I love the Elise... Definitely jealous! :D The only one I'd rather have would be a Tesla Roadster, built on the Eise chassis.

On-topic, I'm starting to foam at the mouth for e new MBA: I've been prepping my transfer drive by eliminating all my PPC software and trimming my iTunes of duplicates: I can't wait for next week!
