I downloaded STEAM as soon as it came out for Mac and I've never seen the entire CIV IV complete series (with all four CIV IV games and expansions included) for 10 dollars.

I sure am glad that I decided to venture into this forum and click on this thread last night. Thanks to the OP!

There was Steam before the Mac version which came out 6 weeks ago or something like that

Anyone who wants to get a good jump start on CIV 4 should have a look at the 'War Academy' and the Strategy & Tips forum over at Civfanatics.com.

It's a wealth of knowledge for both the beginner and intermediate player.

One of the most valuable tools are the ALC (all leaders challenge) series which go into a lot of detail of what move to make and why (sometimes to a navel gazing level I admit). It absolutely helped me break through the initial 'what do I do now' phase.

I thought this deal was supposed to be good all day, or at least for 24 hours, but I guess I was wrong and it's going to cost me if I still plan to buy it. I don't know when the discount actually started but I do know it wasn't discounted at around 8 PM last night when I looked. So it looks like these amazing mini sales don't last for 24 hours.

Then it must have ended at 1 PM EST yesterday and obviously I must have been mistaken about not seeing it Sunday night. However, nobody seemed to be talking about it until early morning yesterday… hmm.

In any case I learned my lesson.
