Does stink a bit... Especially if it's the third time it's happened in one campaign.

I hope it's nothing underhand, but it does raise suspicions?

That was an old posting from earlier this month. They are ready at 225k with out that contribution.

No that was just posted again minutes ago check comments.

I stand corrected. That really stinks. But life does happen, I'll still be happy with what they are planning on delivering on. Also thanks for letting me know where to see that update.

It may be (and I'm sure it is) perfectly above board and just totally unfortunate.

But - that said:

- It's frustrating to happen three times in one campaign.
- It's frustrating to happen almost at the end of the campaign.
- It's frustrating that the amount hasn't actually been removed, so people could still hit the page and pledge thinking a certain course of action will happen and it probably won't.
- It's frustrating that the main updates haven't been updated, people see comments as comments not necessarily official updates.

Unfortunately I think I'm a bit jaded, I've seen so many "business people" pull unscrupulous tricks to manipulate people in relation to their businesses. I hope that (and don't think that) this is happening here, but I also can't say it's sitting entirely well.

Kickstarter is to blame, it's open to multiple types of abuse:

- "eBay" syndrome: "Bid on my item to push the price up, you don't need to buy". Backers get stung.

- "Competitor sabotage": Competitor pledges and then backs out to ruin the reputation of a business/project. Backers and creator get stung.

- Genuine backer changes their mind, other backers and the creator get stung.

I'm sure (and hopeful) that the last one is the case here... But I wish KickStarter would just take your pledge at the start, and if needs be return it to a card if a project doesn't get backing...

Nice recovery.

I removed my backing. I'll just go with Monowear, at least they actually have a sample product

i pledged $40 ($35+$5) for 2 Aluminum Click M's and, if i understand the deal correctly I will still receive my two click M's plus a polymer click and 2 watch bands. Thats still a heckova deal.

i backed out..

you'll be able to get these cheaper in the next couple of months, and who's actually gonna use them?

I pulled out of click, shady stuff going on. Prob put in their own fake 10k donations (3) and pulled them one by one as people donated.

Totally suspect timing. Normally I'd pull out as a matter of principal but I'm only in for $17. I always thought they were giving away too many perks for this to make any sense.

Won't deny the shadiness presented here, however, everyone backing out has let me drop down to the $10 tier. $15 including shipping for two sets and a wristband is worth a shot, even if they never deliver.

and who's actually gonna use them?

Frankly, with Apple's proprietary band attachment system, it's the best thing to happen to a wristwatch since the second hand. I would find it very hard to back to the old band attachment system with the flimsy watch pins. And I don't know how anyone's gonna match the finish.

I also canceled my pledge. Losing $30k from three separate backers, one at the very last minute, feels off to me. I've also been burnt on Kickstarter twice before, so I'm gunshy now. I'll wait for reviews on third party bands and adapters before buying any.

If Click really wanted to earn our trust and support they would have just went ahead and honored the $225k stretch goal either way. I understand that it would be a greater sacrifice to them with $10k less in their own pockets, but it would earn a ton of goodwill from their backers, who are also their future brand ambassadors. C'mon Click, get it together.

I can't complain. Getting all this for $30

- Stickers
- Watch Band of your Choice
- Pair of Click Polymer Adapters
- Metal Watch Band of your Choice
- Pair of anodised aluminium Click M Adapters

I've backed 2 projects that have worked out and delivered in a decent timeframe.

Unfortunately, I backed out on this one.

The biggest backer, backing out, doesn't sit right with me.

Good luck to those that backed.
