Clipping Path from Selection in Photoshop

Your work to be right way,, this better way to use pen tool, no need inverse, just use pen tool & around the path. Path is complete and adjust feather radius .3 and create a new layer,

Is there a better way to do it, or do I have to go back to actually drawing the paths with the pen tool?
