It depends on the persons control preference. i choose a controller over a keyboard and mouse any day. and i am just as good on it as someone on a keyboard and mouse.
so saying that any one is better then the other would solely depend on the person.
You may be skilled with a gamepad, but seriously, don't take me and others here as being so naive as to believe that you're on the same level as someone -- so a person that games on a PC -- that's using a mouse and keyboard(or speedpad) for ANY game that requires pointing, so a FPS as an example.
There's nothing wrong with preference, but to assume that a gamepad is just as good as mouse/keyboard for games like FPSs, or others that were derived on the PC, only goes to show what you don't know.
You're only kidding yourself and if you were local, or a friend, it would be really easy to show why a gamepad can't keep up with a mouse.

i would like you to point out or toward any computer in the $129 - $199 price range that can out perform a 360 or even a PS3 ? the thing is you cant. that is where a console steps in. the price alone for that mid range 5770 is enough to buy the old style 360 arcade system.
one would have to be stupid to even compare a console to a PC. the PC is more powerful (depending on its spec), i think everyone knows that. BUT you can not beat a consoles Price performance ratio when it comes to games.
Yes, a console does what it does for its price, but for a bit more the PC is in all cases a better investment. It will do games better than a console and if you really have to use a gamepad -- because that's all you really know -- it does that also.
The PC has a higher initial cost, but IT IS A COMPUTER. For about the price of a PS3($350), an extra controller, and a couple of console games I can build a PC that will have no problems playing the games that currently stress out a 360 and as mentioned, it's a computer. And unlike the console, if a user outgrows the PC's performance, they can upgrade it... But with consoles holding back PCs -- which is good in someways -- upgrading isn't as it used to be, where one can truly get by with much less and for way longer when it comes to gaming.
Buying a console to play games that were derived on a PC is not a good investment as the controls are inadequate and there are additional costs -- like online gaming. And just so you know, the mentioned 5770 might be mid-range now, but even a low-end GPU now days like a 9600 GT desktop trumps a consoles performance.
On your stupid comment, which could construed as an insult...
The poster was wondering which system would run BC2 better. I guess the fact I mentioned a complete truth about his CPU and GPU trumping the 360 didn't set well with you. Why don't you keep what I stated in context to what the poster stated next time, because what I said was relevant to his question about which is better.
My PC has nowhere near the level of performance the 360 does in games and it never will unless i buy new or used faster hardware.
That's YOUR PC, which is either outdated, or it's a desktop with an integrated Intel GPU. It's not mine, not the posters, and not the case for pretty much any person who's aquired a new "desktop" system with in the past 3 to 4 years.
So what I get from the above statement, is that becasue your PC isn't adequate and you don't care to upgrade it, console gaming is better. SO just because you're stuck in the past, the poster should also remain there, even though his computer is a more capable gaming machine than his console... Go figure...
