If you have can afford XS MAX and have da money, go 4 the XS MAX
If you are financially tight and does not have the money just buy XR.

I don’t think it would be worth upgrading from the 8 Plus to the XR. Worse screen, no 3D touch, slightly better camera and and battery life. And unless you care about OLED, the XS Max isn’t worth it either.

I just bought the 8 plus, great phone.
This phone is very quick , the a11 is still a great processor.

so since I own a XR I must be poor then? lmao!

I assure you a lot of people that have an XR can afford an XS/Max. They just decide whats a better value for them. Some people think phones are some sort of status symbol.

Hi all,

I preordered a Xs Max yesterday, and the price just about killed me. I was reading a thread earlier today that said the Xr had the same viewable area as the Xs Max, which I didn't realize.

Coming from a phone with 401ppi, do you think going down to 326ppi would make a big difference?
You should definitely buy the XS Max.

This is true, and the reality is, consumers can afford the XS with the help of carriers with monthly payments. What consumers don’t understand, is they don’t know the differences of what they are receiving with the XS over the XR, they simply see the new form factor, Face ID, but they don’t care about things like OLED displays, 3D Touch, a better water resistance, etc. Those are things that don’t add up enough for consumers to want to spend the extra $250 for the XS.

It’s also $250 for less screen 6.1” xs max scaled down to 5.8” scaled

According to those guys, anyone who buys anything less than a 512GB Max is because they can't afford it.
