LPDDR5X is supposed to have up to 64GB chips, meaning a Mn Extreme Mac Pro could have up to 1TB of RAM...?

My initial thought would be that Apple keeps LPDDR5X to the ASi Mac Pro, but scale of economics might mean Apple places LPDDR5X in the Mac Studio as well...?
I assume when LPDDR5x becomes generally available it will go in all of Apple's Macs. It's been their MO to offer the fastest LPDDR RAM generation available. When it comes to which Macs we'll see it in first, it might be the Mac Pro, if initial production of LPDDR5x is too low in volume to put it into Apple's less expensive machines.

Back in Nov. 2021 Andrei Frmusanu of Anandtech wrote: "We generally expect LPDDR5X SoCs and products to start being released for the 2023 generation of devices." Not sure how that time has shifted since then. But this suggests, if we do see LPDDR5x in Macs, it will only be for ones released in 2023. Further, it may be the 64 GB LPDDR5x sticks won't be available until later in LPDDR5x's life cycle.

Also, I made a typo in the post of mine you quoted. I meant to write (change enlarged & bolded):

They did put faster RAM in the M1 Pro/Max (LPDDR5) than the M1 (LPDDR4x), so maybe they'll do the same with the M2 Pro/Max (LPDDR5x?) vs. the M2 (LPDDR5).

Finally, I should add I'm not sure if we'll see LPDDR non-ECC RAM in the Mac Pro. They might decide to go with DDR ECC RAM instead.

When has any Apple product not cost a fortune?
There was a time when the Euro was strong.

My heart tell me that to give more interesting info.

but the reality tell me just these boring info T-T.

the ugly is the price will be hike, so if you sastified with current line-up, just buy it.

for me, now i try to dig some great deals on M1 Pro 16 inch MacBook Pro.

Problem for some of us is that there are no deals on 32gb Ram models (at least for 14” model). So if we have to pay retail, we may as well get latest and greatest.

I just saw an article that there are 15% discounts on MacBook Pros which is unprecedented.

Don't know where you're located, but there are those deals in the US. B&H has $400 off on 32 GB RAM 14" MBP's with .5 TB and 2 TB SSD's. AZ may have discounts as well.

Though if I wanted to buy an M1-gen MBP at discount, I wouldn't buy now -- I'd wait until after the M2's come out, since the discounts should be even larger then.

If in US check Microcenter, have deals on them, recently $900 off 14” M1 Max, 32gb, 1 tb. Same with 64gb was $1200 off.

Thankfully with a Mac Studio, iPhone SE3 and Apple TV 4K and iPad Pro then don’t need to buy anything.

iPad Pro being 9.7” is first that will need replacing but will get the iPad OS 16 update this year but rest will be good for several years still.

But as i known the price of these machine will be 10-30% hike is many country (outside the US)
This is what I expected.

I think the cost of the M2 14/16 Macbook Pros will be the same in the US. Yes, inflation is up 9% in the US but the lower cost of shipping, ease of chip constraints and supplies should offset this.

So the price increase in other countries will purely be because of the strength of the dollar.

This is unfortunate for Apple because the Yuan has not depreciated by as much as the Euro/GBP/Yen. This means the cost of manufacturing has decreased at a lower rate than the dollar's appreciation in Japan and Europe.

So the 10-30% markup makes a lot of sense.

People in those countries should be buying M1 Macbook Pros right now because the M2 versions will be much more expensive.

I've got some interest info about mac line up.

14 and 16 inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max. (include very high-bandwidth, high-speed RAM)
and Next Mac mini with simple M2 drop-in.

these 2 product has been perfectly pass SIT process.
iMac 24 with m2 is spot but need a time to polish. (early prototype)

But as i known the price of these machine will be 10-30% hike is many country (outside the US)

Exactly , nothing new here, we already saw this with the new ipads pro
Same price in the US, but in other countries the prices are higher
So $1999 for the binned SoC 14"
And $2499 for the 16"

Even if Apple held its prices I would expect lower sales in the UK, given how much prices for food and energy are rising - there is simply less disposable income sloshing around the economy and wages are not rising to match. A material price rise is going to make this worse.

I think Apple is trying to navigate this by generally leaving older product prices alone and only bumping new products, although the iPad rises show it will sometimes do this when it suits.

Pricing is weird in Canada.

They raised the price of the 9th generation iPad a little bit. OK fine, that price rise reflected the change in the exchange rate.

However, for the 10th generation iPad, it's actually cheaper to buy it Canada than it is in the US, by a few percent. I think the reason for this is because they wanted to fit into psychologically more attractive price points (CA$599, as opposed to say $629) so they were willing to lose out on a little bit of $.

I think the original unibody Macs were pretty price competitive. They were affordable tools with a slight premium because you didn’t have to buy the very top-spec model at the time of purchase or plan for the device’s usable storage to be used up over its lifespan, you could simply pop in a new drive. Now you have to sell your MacBook Pro if you want more storage.
