I think i'm in the same boat as you - it was photo albums+. If I delete photo albums plus then I can see my mms pictures but if I do that I can't sync to my computer! I wish there was a way to downgrade to the old photo albums+ that actually worked great!

Mondo - I think I found a solution for us. The developer seems to have fixed the bug in the new beta version of photo albums+. add this source to cydia and upgrade your tweak and the pictures should show up and the iPhone should still be recognized by the computer. Hope this works for you as well

Perhaps you should re-read my verbage in that post.
Don't believe I assumed any such thing.
Appsync is one of the primary reasons for an iTunes failure to read an iPhone.
Just eliminating it as a possible cause.

Yes, and AppSync is a dependency of a certain program used to pirate apps. Just because you didn't say it doesn't mean we don't know that's what you meant to say.

this solved my issue

This solved the same issue i had. My wife kept saying that its because i jailbroke my phone, but i was too stubborn to consider that option. I will be more cautious next time. I did loose my pictures in the process. do not know if i will ever install photo album+ anymore.
