what do you use to make these? just apple stock photos and sliders?

Yep, screenshot the big Store.app images and then Pixelmator on my iPad has sliders that aren’t too complicated for me. It also has decent magic selection tools that I used to separate out the layers. A big aha moment when I realized a few months ago to start with the most neutral white/spruce aura images. And then for black primary concepts I have a separate project.

I Love so many of these concepts. Have any of these kind of ideas every been close to the real releases?

I mean for the nike ones I’m strictly using real Nike colorways. Some are more random wishcasts based on clothes I buy, but mostly I’m using Nike Running and Nike Tennis “lead colors” that have led to bands in the past. I didn’t predict which three they did perfectly for fall 2020, but once they were out, you could find that I had mocked them up previously.

Obsidian Mist I made too purple, and Spruce Aura/Vapor Green I didn’t have the name right but I had the look perfect. And then I was certain Bright Mango was coming because they dropped a bunch of gear the Monday before the bands dropped, but I had Mango as the primary.
