With no summer bands being released, will the new watch not work with current bands?

The summer (and winter) bands were released early with the fall/spring bands.

I think of Nectarine, Mineral Green, Lemon Zest as the summer bands. Dark Cherry, Marigold, English Lavender track very closely with the winter 2020 trio.

Not sure what the connection you’re making is. Apple is on record as band compatibility being a foundation principle. It’s highly unlikely they will ever release a watch that doesn’t work with the current bands.

Why would they bother? What would they gain?
