Of course you can get dual core i5's. They could quite easily fix up the 21.5" iMac's with dual core i processors to reduce cost and heat, especially considering that the 21.5" models arent particularly high end.

And an iMac isnt a desktop as such, as they use mobile GPUs.

Still though, I'd expect this to be fake.

No, ever since Sandy Bridge was introduced, dual core i5 are a thing of the past.
Why would they put an "old" i5 when Sandy Bridge is so much faster than Lynnfield and some of those newer CPU can fit into a 21.5" iMac ?

This is fake. First of all, there are no 3.2 or 3.6 dual-core i5 Sandy Bridge desktop processors. Secondly, ALL of the Sandy bridge i5 desktop processors are quad-core except for the 2390T, which is 2.7GHz. Thirdly, the top model at this point should be quad-core 2.8GHz or 3.4GHz i7. It would be stupid not include at least one standard i7 config at this point. The other 27" will be one of the quad i5s, along with top-end 21". The low-end will probably be the dual-core i3 3.3GHz or a low-end i5. Okay, so my third explanation is more of a opinion/guess, but still. I'm expecting the i7 for the top model.

BTW all new 2d gen i5 are Quad Core, exept i5-2390T who is Dual Core.

Old news dude... ^^

This is very very fake, in chrome you can do inspect element and change the html a few minutes, and then take a photo of your screen.

Did I mention desktop or mobile i7's? No. I said "Half of the i7's offered for sandy bridge are dual core too"

Is this real? Omg

Is this real? Omg

No.

Even if it was, that resolution is way too much to drive for any video card(in terms of gaming)
Even the 27" resolution is too much for the card it ships with(in my opinion). However the thought of a Radeon 6990 makes me feel funny things ;)

Does anyone know if the imacs use a mobility GPU? It seems they do. Benchmarks seem to indicate it but I can't remember for sure.
