I got my phone off eBay, paid with PayPal and recieved in 3 days!

I e-mailed ALL of the US distributors with simple questions before purchase. 3-4 did not bother to even answer. This group answered within 1 hour- they got my business.

I got my code within 3 hours... NOT days like eBay (yeck!)

Gonna use the tutorial you recommended and accept the $60 hit for the sake of a stable unlock without messing around with a terminal. Will post if successful.

Gonna have it in UK a month before O2 and not with their really uncompetitive tarriff.

I'm in two minds whether or not to make the switch to a proper O2 iphone. i currently pay 35 quid a month on O2, and i get a great deal - 1000 texts and 900 anytime, any network minutes a month (and i still manage to have huge bills), so if i switched to the 35quid iphone tarrif i'll get bugger all but the idea of having 'unlimited' data - being able to check e-mail, google maps, all that jazz on the go is very very tempting.

ARGH! why does the universe torture me with these choices??

How to fix it

after two days of using with this solution, I haven't found a single issue. Just works perfectly.

Ok, one I got. The APN settings will be lost everytime I reboot iPhone, but this might be another issue. After re-entering the APN info it continue to work perfectly.
